Gotta say that I am a bit surprised at your rating of Yarran.

If we could orchestrate a trade that gave him to us I would be rapt.

He is all class and ready to walk into the team IMO.

I'm all for getting Yarran if we can get another top 16 pick.. however he is definitely not top 5, so it smells like huge bullshit that we'd have him rated third best.

well i've been known to be wrong on the odd occasion but i dont know, he is definetly talented, i just dont know if he will be a consistent performer at afl level. for some strange reason he reminds me of koops

If Mundy + Warnock were 26 I'd agree with you.

They traded pick 19 for McMahon last year and he's not as good as either of the above mentioned players (and older).

It's simple, if Richmond won't deal pick 8 for the pair we'll trade them seperately to someone else. They'll get 300 games from Mundy/Warnock injuries permitting. What are the chances of getting a 300 gamer at pick 8?

I'd take that + King you have a deal...i think there will be plenty of competition for him so you guys will get fair compensation ..reports were that hawthorn was keen although they havent had a recent history of offering early pix

Warnock + Mundy to Carlton for pick 6? Seems like a fair trade to me. That way you could end up with Rich + Yarran.

I would beg to differ,

If he was in the national draft he would got top 10 no doubt.

I hope he isnt going would prefer him rather than another 1st rounder.

I think if we did trade him though with Richmond we will probly get there 2nd rounder with maybe Jake King.

The question I want to know is why Mundy said Richmond.. its quite interesting. I would have thought he would have gone with North Melbourne as thats who he apparently supported as a kid.

Yes I know that sounds silly as he is still 22, but you can sort of see where his career is headed, now, with a top 10 pick in this years draft they could be anything, and there is a good chance they will be better than Mundy in the end.

Absolutely we could draft another one of those guys, but I think more often than not, AFL clubs and recruiters are willing to back their judgement and go for a guy that they believe will be a star of the competition.
