Al faraj back to greenvale....what is the story there? i heard he was having a solid preseason down at the stinky doutta stars?? think he would be pushing it to make the 1's but none-the-less adds some depth to greenvale's list. i'm guessing old "nose" randello had something to do with draggin him across.

on another topic, when can we be expeting to see D Smith back. saw a bit of greenvale's game on the weekend and his younger brother looked exceptional.

Yeah Ben's a great player and its good to see him playing well in the 1st's and Deano should be back in the side in the next week or so i woulda thought.

I think Glenroy have a chance against Craigeburn this week, while I dont think they will win, I think they can give them a real shake, douttas went close last week and the are terrible

Well Luke Butters played his first game for the club last week after suffering a serious knee injury during the pre season and got best on so he should go straight back in to the senior side and johnnie angel kicked six and missed a few so he should be straight in also.

been told al faraj wont be playing this yr due to work and has a back problem. will slot nicely into greenvales fwd line if he plays. he has trained with them but just to be involved and has alot of close mates down at greenvale. i personally dont think hel play at all. i know him well and will be handy whereever he goes kicked 9 or 10 a few weeks ago and a bag of 6 aswell, douttas sure could of used him on the weekend.

How am I talking shit idiot, you've just confirmed what I said, that he left the club. I never said he was that good, and the fact is, what was on offer in the WRFL he deemed better for him.

he wasnt even offered an offer , he jsut went there clearly because his mates were there and glenroys senior coach is a dik.

People tend to just assume that when a guy leaves 1 club to go to another in this day and age it's because of money, especially when the club he went to emabarked on a heavy recruiting campaign pre- season and even more so when the player in question strangely relinquishes the chance to play A- Grade to play B- Grade in a lesser league, but, good for him that it wasn't, so you can relax now mate.

Just to confirm, I have absolutely nothing against the Glenroy Football Club, I am strongly considering heading down there next year to play myself. That's the whole reason I go and watch them, to see what the team and blokes are like. I grew up in the suburb (and am now a stone's throw away from there), and my dad, aswell as everyone he and our family associates with still to this day (including committee member Glenn Glements who I know very well), played their whole careers down there. Fair to say it's been a goal of mine, since I started playing at age 10 to follow in their foot steps and play for the Roys.

bloomfield v johnson (bloomfield hands down)
bicer v armstrong

Agreed to an extent..the club shouldve backed themselves for going all the way last year and signed up all the players to an extra year deal to hold them all together just incase they did win the flag and they wouldnt be in the situation they are in now!!

All sounds good in theory but the fact is players come and go and some are just happy to stick it out in section 2, not up to the big league.
A good player in section 2 is a two's player in A grade, = no cash.

Greenvale won by 5 points, in a hard fought game at Keilor

Douttas won by 45 points,the score was 1.5.11 each at half time,yes it was a shootout very very windy and sh1t conditions but yeah would have been the same verywhere i guess,but in the second half Douttas were very good and the score ended up 12 goals to 3 i think.Big ruckmen for DS was really good and W.C ruckmen didnt play which would have helped and Douttas kids were great just kept runinng and chasing all day and were hard at it,old boy Docs was very good and Garth at fullback did his usual job on Hakim but not letting him get a kick so a great win.

Heard that Avaondale were up by 4 goals against the mores late but got done by around 2 goals.
