Agreed. Hird was amazing but Ablett Snr is the best of all time and deserves the number 5 spot.

Dermie should be at 23. Nothing against McLeod but Dermie is one of the best ever. Other then that it's a good list

I disagree. 1 AA guernsey (according to fullpointsfooty) to McLeod's 5 (including one as captain). A 300 gamer who has won 2 Norm Smith medals. I think he pips Brereton, and anyone else in the 23 quite comfortably.

35 is such a tough call. I lean towards Harvey but Daicos was incredible.

Daicos, because he could do the impossible. Harvey was Mr Consistency but a bit boring by comparison.

Gordon Coventry kicked 9in a grand final back in the 20's. It wasn't a record.

And surely Leigh Matthews deserves a spot alongside greats like Nathan Foley and Liam Jurrah.

That was a record until Ablett kicked 9 in 89'. I think Dermie also got reported 3 times in that game!!

But you can't base everything on Talent. Longevity is a form of talent. Consistency is a form of talent. In the end Plugger kicked more goals and will be remembered more than Ablett snr as he is "The Greatest Goal-kicker of All Time"
