They are talking about getting the young ruckman from GWS and picking up Tippett and Lynch as well... and they have been associated with Caddy also.

And they still have a couple of their own young players who havent been re-signed yet (Goldsack and Wellingham are the two biggest and only Wellingham is apparently looking at other options) and they must be feeling the pinch after re-signing all their big stars this year and then coming along and throwing 3.75-4mill at Cloke over 5 years and then they are still expecting to pick up new players in the draft?

I mean how thick are they not to realise that they are skating very close to the edge on very thin ice.

And Eddie McChins is out there slandering us and pointing at our salary cap and basically calling us cheats and then he has the majority of his premiership team re-signing with one of them earning a fortune over 5 years and we arent allowed to wonder about their salary cap...

Personally wouldn't want him. WIll command roughly the same $$$ as Cloke, but isn't close to good a player as he is (plus we would have to trade for him)


If people had mixed feelings about Carlton getting Cloke, then they should be a HUGE no against getting Tippett.

That's like saying if we were willing to pay Caddy 300k to get him to walk to Carlton, but can't, then we should offer Stevens $250k to do the same. We have the money, and he is a mid, so lets blindly throw almost the same amount of $$$ at him .........

It would seem that we pulled out of the race. The club would have been interested at a bargain basement price, but both Collingwood & Melbourne pushed his price up so the wise thing to do was pull the pin & of course there is now another KPF on the market (albeit as a potential trade) who has a bit more to offer than Lynch.
