Happy to be proved wrong, but being round 1 confident there will be an upset around the traps somewhere. Wynnum in the wet? Kenmore over the Yeronga dream team? Aspley off to a slow start? Caloundra in the coast derby? A draw at Rothwell? ....

Unfortunately Thunderville, you will have a better chance winning Lotto tomorrow night than Wynnum winning . hope the boys can win by a point, Instead Robina to declare at halftime sending Vikings into bat.

Interesting to see how the new teams handle the Step up tomorrow.

Seriously the chunk brothers are in this for a laugh so we will talk sh*t predominately. The views expressed here are our own and in no way represent robina arfc. We will see how our pick ups go today we have 9 new faces playing seniors today so it's an exciting day got the club . Boc I hope the stupid council let's u play st wynumm today and also aflq don't let there vsginas make a pathetic decision about games today. Caloundra got up over nambour by 17 points in a cracker of a local derby. Really good game of footy and I have to say I thought the much bigger bodies of nambour would be better suited to the conditions but the panthers outplayed nambour after 1/4 time to record a great win for their footy club. travis mills was tagged scragged and I think we'll held, got frustrated at times but credit to the caloundra bloke for a good job for his team.great to have a local rivalry on the coast .
Look forward to watching both teams throughout the season.

Yeah mate I was talking to his grandad actually ,his only 15, I think they had 4-6young fellas aged 15 17was a good effort.

yeah BOC both teams got over the line.

ground was a complete mess , was really good morale boosting win, the boys hung into there right to the end , IMO our best was M.Eadie , Burgo , Templar and C Geoghagan

they did well in the last to hang on considering we could barely manage to hit the scoreboard in the last

bit of a sour note was one of the rielly brothers going down with a knee injury that crippled him last year .

now please refer to me previous post on page 1 about the umpires .......well today was a disgrace i really dont think these guys have ever pulled on a jumper let alone read the rule book

can only get better !!!

Numbers at Wynnum aren't good, why the Vikings chose to stay in Div 2 and the AFLQ allowing the Vikings to stay in the division has me baffled.

Sadly there will be Cricket scores kicked against Vikings this year. On a dry track, Robina would have posted a score over 200

Grandad might have missed a birthday SC - he's 16 now. Playing as an overage boy in the Power program this year but a good cut of a boy and at 191cm or whatever he is, might have struggled today but good kid. Glad to see Caloundra taking a punt and playing these kids - is their best way forward imo. As long as you have a few decent older heads around them its generally all good. Maroochy had a 16yr old playing in their A grade today and Noosa had an U16 boy (not sure if he has turned 16 yet) in theirs. Good to see the better juniors being challenged and playing up.

Yeah knocked over Noosa in their last scratch match today by 5-6 goals. We were missing a few of their best as well. Noosa won't be as good as previous years. Big numbers at the Roos - from 18s thru to seniors. Its a pretty positive vibe right now but the season has to start first and then we'll see how it all goes!! see the U18s div 2 have combined - smart move by the league - bit more travel but more quality matches for the boys which is what it is about.

Great to hear boc massive effort in very average conditions . I'm sure when we play a non exisitant opposition we will win by bigger margins mate. Overall we are extremely happy with our win yesterday and to get out the day with only 1 injury it was a good team effort in what can only be described as trying conditions.

Uve been on here since Xmas telling us how brilliant ur recruits were and how u were going to pull the competitions pants down. The conditions u mention u played in yesterday were consistent with what all other teams faced. There were 31 goals kicked in ur game so it can't of been that bad - facts are ur team only managed 18 of them. If u were that dominant a team u would have made better use of the conditions and posted a score similar to that of ours.

Lets call a spade a spade - either yesterday ur boys were average or your not as good as you think u were going to be.

There we go devil we r starting to get somewhere!!

Mate I didn't see a lot of the ones to be honest as had something on back down the coast. But as I said before full props to wynnum for a) calling us to tell us early game was defiantly on and b) scrambling around to get numbers for both games as easy option would have been to pull the pin.

I think we were as good as they were bad - hopefully for the comp they keep numbers up and keep having a crack.
