No matter how I try to interpret this it scares me.

Once he had a glass of wine with that sandwich and it made him feel woozy. Not that he wants to harp on it but the broad palate of that wine really had an effect on him but he still went in after that sandwich. Not belabouring the point but that full-bodied glass of wine nearly took him out of his lunch.

The Ollie Wines vintage.

In the lead up to the ANZAC game today, Brayshaw said he was frustrated about conversation on the "Port Adelaide Juggernaut". Said we'd only had wins against "the expansion sides and Melbourne and will still finish bottom 3." The offended over Jacobs must be getting to him.

OK, a few points on this:

A) That's factually wrong, but even if it wasn't
B) If we're better than Melbourne, GWS and GC, how will we 'still finish bottom 3'?
C) Even if we would finish bottom 3, how is 'still' the right word to use in that sentence when we didn't finish bottom 3 last year?
D) I sure wish we'd beaten a real powerhouse like Brisbane, don't you guys? That's when we'll know we've made it, when we beat Brisbane.

I dunno about you guys, but I really, really hope we wipe the floor with Norf next week. I don't mind the club, but their president and their supporters can all go and **** themselves.

I'm sure that's because he thinks Melbourne will get it all together. He'd imply that through what he didn't say because, first, he's talking to a Melbourne audience and second, because his buddy Garry Lyon was sitting next to him.

Well I suppose he is right.

Adelaide is an expansion side and so are our next three opponents, West Coast who joined the VFL in 1987, North Melbourne, who joined the VFL in 1925 and Richmond who joined the VFL in 1908.

We don't actually play another non-expansion team until Carlton in round 8.

Brayshaw has been the only one who'll give us the time of day on TFS, especially over the last few years when everyone else has been quick to lay the boot in. So that sounds uncharacteristic of him.

Could be because he viewed us as a lesser and so didn't mind giving us credit since we weren't considered a threat- but now we have stolen Norf's limelight as the up and coming young darlings of the AFL scene.

meh

I was about to say this. He has always been the one who has given us some air time and spoken about some of our players on the national media stage. This sounds odd coming from him. He is probably just putting a rocket up his own side inadvertently, or is just genuinely mad about his own clubs performance. I'll let it slide either way.

Actual headline: Kane Cornes eyes 300-game milestone with Port Adelaide

As for reaching the magical 300 milestone, Cornes said: "I'm not too sure about that but I certainly feel great at the moment and I'm enjoying my footy as much as I ever have.

Headlines are all about interpretation. It seems it really doesn't matter at all what the subject has said.

ABC Media Watch is your friend.

At least interpretation of quotation marks is not required.

It amuses me how North Melbourne people think they are at all relevant.

'Tiser plumbing the depths again, just like that article where they compared Renault v Camry sales.

I was angry when I first read it, but tbh, I'm actually happy they're writing these kind of grasping articles now, cherrypicking whatever makes the Camries look good and us bad. They just look pathetic, and it proves that PAFC is back and all the suckholes are afraid. Good times!

Thanks for this - I was just about to drop a hundred dollars in the St Vinnies appeal, but thanks to the Crow-vertiser I think I'll keep it now and save up for the PS4 for the kids later this year.

I'll also be abusing my Crows mate who is also saving up for a PS4 and tell him that I'll out him to Andrew Capel as a Port supporter if he buys one, and he should give it to charity. And to make the story complete, he has to name Port Adelaide as his charity, because we are a charity case.

Is it just me or are the 5AA presenters trying to shoehorn Crows questions into any interview with a Port person? Bone seems to be the worst - in a 5-minute slot this morning he managed to ask Jackson Trengove whether the Crows would beat Carlton and what he thought of Porplyzia's axing.

Yeah that made no sense to me either.
"So big game for Port this week, are you surprised that the Crows dropped Porplyzia?'
McDermott also feels the need to refer to everyone as Fella.

I always watch the Mangrook Footy Show - get what I can out of free to air tv.

Gilbert McAdam however drives me mad - on the surface I love the bloke but then he opens his mouth and calls us Port Power every time - hard to work out if he is doing it on purpose or if he is just totally unaware - the way he looks at the camera is a bit goofy.

I doubt very much if there is any malice in what "Gilly" says in regard to calling us PP.

He seems like too nice a bloke to be nasty.
