News Geelong's position in Essendon investigation and ACC report

Apparently on 3AW just now Geelong is next on the list to be investigated by ASADA. We shall see. If the Essendon example is anything to go by we have little to be concerned about.

Nothing new about this, the AFL and ASADA announced months ago that Geelong and Melbourne would be investigated after Essendon.
If they thought there was a real problem they would have been there much earlier than this, so that they could finish before the Essendon-related self-imposed deadline of mid-August "to protect the integrity of the finals".

Think the Robinson connection is certainly a key reason for them taking more than a casual interest in us and the GC. Not at all concerned about our club. Or GC for that matter.

But individual players? Who knows? ASADA may have uncovered an unhealthy relationship.

Can't find a direct quote from ASADA right now, but I have seen it reported that ASADA have said it will be done by then.
And, of course, Evans and the other Evans and McLachlan have each stated it categorically, eg

1. You said it sounded like a wish, rather than a commitment, which is why I pointed out that it was in fact an explicit and express commitment.
2. Don't care whether it's a joint investigation or not, not relevant to anything.
3. The latests journo bleats that it can't be finalised until Dank is interviewed are nonsensical, first because he was interviewed yonks ago, secondly because they can and could have re-interviewed him any time they wanted if they thought it necessary to the case, and thirdly if they do need evidence from him to prove their case and they don't get it, then it's all over red rover, case unproven and finalised.

However, if you think Geelong and Melbourne are in trouble simply because they are now going to investigate them, as they said they would months ago, that's your prerogative.

I dunno, I'm concerned for some reason, getting worried that we may have done some dodgey stuff when Robinson was here. I hope we are all clear, and what Selwood said a few months ago was very encouraging about how we've done nothing wrong and he was pretty clear about it to.

Id be an absolute mess if we lost our 3 premierships, would just lose it.
