Can't really blame the club for losing out in a bidding war vs Spurs. Bidding against them is like playing poker heads up against an opponent who has 10 x your chip count, you just get bent over and there's nothing you can do about it. Better we wait for Spurs to sell bale and finish their transfer business so we can sign one or a couple of the likes of turan/eriksen/damiao.

If we're signing any of those three players then I'm not worried, it's the fact that we have less than two weeks left in the window, glaring weaknesses in our team that we have not fixed, despite having the money to do so.

If we actually get any of those players in then it'd be fine, but the fact that we should just shrug our shoulders and said shit happened just like we did last summer, isn't good enough when they're trying to make it out like they're making us competitive again, when we've actually made money on transfers this summer

AVB just needs to offload Adebayor and replace him with a quality striker (see Damiao, Eto'o) and they will have a perfectly rounded squad. Possinly an outside chance for the title. Willian is a X100 upgrade over Lennon.
