One thing about Dylan Shiel is that his girlfriend is now in Melbourne (moved down from Sydney with her father, a certain Mark Williams) - could work to our advantage?

It also allows GWS to potentially package 1 and 2 for a REALLY good player or a cpl of players, they could even package 9 with it and end up with some really good senior players

Not suggesting this is possible but 1, 2 and 9 to stkilda for Riewoldt, Montagna, Dal Santo or something crazy like that

I think it meant to read "MFC have given up on West Coast parting with any of them" which is what West Coast should be doing, no reason to trade any of the three.

Scully was being anointed as the new Judd after his first season. Daniel Rich looked incredible after his first season too. Conversely, Dane Swan looked like a sack of lard after his first season. So, let's not get too excited about Viney, he has only played 14 games, and Melbourne has bodged up so many promising young players that we all shouldn't get complacent.

Swan was a sack of lard at the time, Scully was an endurance accumulator with a good burst of speed, could have turned into a very good player if he didn't have the degenerative knee. Viney is obviously going to be very good baring injury like Yze, Brock, Neitz etc were. Just an obvious standout like I imagine Hogan will be.

Shiel is essentially a no 1 draft pick, who GWS picked up as a 17 yr old for nothing. He is ready made, lightning quick, a brilliant kick on both sides and a competitive beast. Would not surprise me in the slightest if we we're to snap him up at 2, would be karma for GWS taking Scully, except we get a 10 time better player.

Yeah I guess I agree. I still don't believe half of the shit those sites promulgate is based on anything more than pure speculation though.

Would give up our Sylvia compensation for Myers. Maybe a few players too as steak knives. Even if that's not enough I'm not too fussed, he's hardly a necessary acquisition.
