Or if you are asking about tom Boyd.. He is 199cm 100 kg monstor.. Around that. .

I still like Kelly and Scharenberg more than Aish. But that is just my opinion. We will get one of those three anyways, and all will be very good pick ups.

Because there is no KPP worth pick 4 in this draft, unless Boyd miraculously slips to pick 4. In fact there isn't a KPP worth taking with a top 10 pick this year except for Boyd.

I don't know, probably because said midfielder is a far more talented footballer than the next best key-forward.

Because there isn't any key position player worth picking up with pick 4. Unless Boyd slides to us which will not happen. It is actually not that solid a draft for key position prospects. If McCarthy, Harvey or Conlon are around one of our later picks, we may make a move on one of them and hope they turn into something. But not with pick four.

I am not against drafting another midfielders. As most teams end up placing one or two of them inside the forward pocket or defense to play the small and medium roles. Use their possession and pressure skills etc. The biggest thing teams like the Hawks, Cats and Swans have is depth. It is good to have to many of something, than to little. And as much as everyone talks up the new draftees we have picked in the past two season. There is honestly no saying where they will be once they reach 50 games.

I believe that if you don't have a stand out player in a position of need with your first round pick. You always go best available option.

I though the completion was fairly even and less one sided this season than past seasons. Hence we won enough games that could probably put us another 2-4 places up in some seasons. But with other teams in the middle winning their fair share of games as well, means we didn't move up further this year, despite winning more games than last year.

I tried making a ladder prediction for next year, it fell to shit after my top 4. Had to leave some good sides out of the 8. The comp is becoming so even it's great, because it means great footy. FOOTY YEAH!

It is actually better for the competition as well. I keep thinking that with the two new teams, and the talent pools being stretched. The gap between the contenders and bottom teams will become much greater. As much as I love teams kicking high points, or us thumping another team. It is better for the competition and much more exciting when there is very little separating a majority of the teams. I agree on your point that the ladder next season is hard to predict. In all honesty, even North could have been pushing the top four if it had of won all those close ones. Games are becoming less predictable.

if you want talls then this is how I rate all (the 18yo's) of them after Boyd (I'll see if I can find pics if I can):

Cameron McCarthy- (WA) (Half Forward) (Pick 9-17)- 195cm, 89kg

McCarthy is a tall agile CHF with a natural jump and huge amounts of xfactor though he has had limited exposure to football he has shown that he has the ability to take the game by the 'scruff of the neck'. He is still not played much footy though and as such needs time to build up his body and develop.

in short pick 4 is too early

Mitch Harvey- (SA) (Full Forward) (Pick 20-30)- 196cm, 97kg

A full forward that is capable of monstering opponents, he has good agility and speed for his size. He hasn't had senior Sanfl games though and question marks appear about off field matters.

Crameri trade = Pick 22, Pick 38 is too late.

Cameron Conlon- (VIC) (Ruck/Forward) (Pick 20-60)- 198cm, 87kg

A capable ruck/forward that is sublimely agile and strong in the air given his natural jumping ability, seen as a first rounder earlier in the year Conlon has had many injury problems that have plagued him in his junior career and as he can hardly find it on the field he may very well slip through this year, though this is unlikely due to the shallowness of the draft in KPP and Rucks.

Pick 38 is a possibility given someone doesn't jump earlier

Alex Pearce- (TAS) (Util) (Pick 30-rookie)- 197kg, 82kg

A tall with rare endurance capable of playing as a midfielder, a forward or a defender Pearce is rather skinny and his weight will have to be worked on but as he has shown that he is as much an athlete as a footy player running a 15.5 beep test (3rd fastest) and 10min,6sec in the three km time trial (8th fastest), I remember reading somewhere of a Tassie coach saying he has only shown 50 percent of what he is capable of and will get better. A real hard worker.

If we draft brown and Addison moves on then Pearce is the one I'd take if still available at our fourth round pick, with the capability of playing back or as a tall midfielder.

Yeah that's true. I've got North making top 4 next year. It's a big step to say someone that didn't even make the 8 one year go on and make top 4 the next, but they "should" have made the 8 easily. Another pre season into the young boys, limited departures and possibly a couple of handy pick ups should see them make it if injuries are favorable
