What is this Animal Farm?
Let's just say that they see banter as poking a stick at a rabid dog.

It's normal to get an infraction for posting on the Port board. ..... lets not compare...... us to them![]()
I was infracted for posting on their board re the Thomas tackle on Bassett years ago, but after a couple of civil PM's with Ford Fairlane (and I do mean civil!) it was withdrawn. Ford's OK, but I think a couple of the others might be a little precious

What I don't understand is that for most people it is much easier to get into town than it ever was to get AAMI. Apparently there were 300,000 people at the Xmas pageant and every working day there are much more than 50,000 heading into and out of town to work. I think the problem comes down to fear of change rather than the change itself.
Unemployed? Check.
Free entry? Check.
Confused as to what game you are at? Check.
I was against it initially as I wanted either a new stadium or an upgrade of Footy Park and thought the "toilet bowl" design looked cheap at first.
Walking past it and seeing it close up as well as seeing the progress photos on here converted me. A better viewing angle from the grandstands, superscreens that are actually clearer than a 1970's analogue TV and the rowdiness on the hill will make going to the footy a better experience (along with us not being shit again).
I hate to say it but by them doing that doesn't help their sterotype.
I wasn't against it, loved the idea of CBD AFL. But was concerned about the compromise footy has made. Viewing angles and superscreens would still be the same with a normal northern stand.
The rowdiness of the hill won't be as much as a half full northern stand.
Don't get me wrong I am looking forward to going but the old scoreboard and open end will take away something for me as an AFL fan - great for the cricket followers though.
I think you are wrong. Standing on the hill will become extremely popular. It adds to the atmosphere. I was at the Port v Melbourne game on the hill and it was a brilliant atmosphere. If anything aside from finals the atmosphere at footy park was pretty average. The thing you have to tell yourself is this is a new beginning, its exciting and fun. I don't think there is anything wrong either with having an open end. with a packed house the place will be electric. I could see it being as boring as bat crap though when port tarp the hill!
Lol, I remember once I was having an argument with one of their mods (macca19), all settled, I leave, 2-3 hours later, I get an infraction by another mod (ford fairlaine).I was infracted for posting on their board re the Thomas tackle on Bassett years ago, but after a couple of civil PM's with Ford Fairlane (and I do mean civil!) it was withdrawn. The breeze is going to create havoc at the northern end, it's going to be very interesting to compare the scoring ends
pretty much like umpiringLol, I remember once I was having an argument with one of their mods (macca19), all settled, I leave, 2-3 hours later, I get an infraction by another mod (ford fairlaine).
I can deal with them being harsh like the Carlton board, but at least have a uniform stance. Argue with 1 moderator then another out of no where infracts you. One implies it's ok, then the other hits you hard.
West AdelaideThink Southern end will be worse with the gaps between stands likely to impact the flight of the ball at the last moment ......Northern end will play as it always has at Adelaide OvalThe breeze is going to create havoc at the northern end, it's going to be very interesting to compare the scoring ends
