Benteke doesn't wanna play for Villa anymore

Been pretty average since he came back from injury

That'd knock the price down for someone who wants him in the summer

Silly boy for signing a contract extension.

No they wouldn't. What makes you think Everton has 20m to spend on a player?

If clubs like Swansea, West Ham, Norwich, Cardiff etc, can spend 10m+ on a player then I'm sure a club like Everton could do it easy. They are very secure financially.

Plus they may get some money from a Baines or Barkley transfer. It's very possible.

Well unless something has changed most of there money goes to the bank.

What I'm saying is they are very capable of doing so, if Martinez is really desperate for a striker (which he will be) I'm sure he'd give 15-20m to spend, which could land them a Benteke type.

Don't get Everton fans started on the Arteta money. Or the discrepancies in the funds disappeared in other sales like Rodwell!

But in theory Everton should have money to spend simply based on the last transfer window up until now. Anichebe, Jelavic and Fellaini has netted around 40 mill! The only money from that so far re-invested is McCarthy for 13 mill and minimal cost for McGeady. Yes we do have a couple of players on loan but many of our highest earners at the club have moved on in the last 2 or so seasons. Arteta, Fellaini, and surprisingly to some Tim Cahill and Phil Neville etc. Would be disappointing if Everton did not spend 20 odd mill in the off-season minimum.

I think most people would say Everton have come out ahead in those players we let go. Anichebe for 6 mill, I dunno how we managed that!

Not having to feed the Yak anymore has lifted a huge burden from the club catering budget

Bryan Ruiz has gone to PSV Eindhoven on loan

West Ham have put in a complaint about Meulensteens comments on Ravel Morrison

From the sounds a lot of the Draxler talk is coming from Schalke, not England.

Apparently Baines has said he wants to be playing champions league at this stage of his career.

So he has rejected a move to United and is close to agreeing an extension with Everton.

This may not be true.

Ha ha. I have heard he is close to an extension with Everton though FWIW.

Not young enough really for a large club to invest in him. They're all going for Shaw mostly. Can see Baines finishing his career there with him being a Kirkby lad. Perhaps Moyes might have a go and Everton could probably tale 20 million of his hands if Moyes is stupid again.

How much did they bid? Apparently he has an £8.5m buyout.

re: Morrison - not sure - but assume they are trying to replace Ruiz who is heading to PSG on loan

Edit - all now old news it seems :D

Carlton Cole signs on at West Ham for another 18 months. Might be down the pecking order with Carroll on the way back to fitness and Traore on his way in.

huge

Thats a pretty huge development for them, and one that would have their supporters feeling very uneasy.
