Trying to stay in the contest is fine, but playing games with the intent just to not lose by a lot as opposed to actually trying to win is not the way to go about it.I think its more about keeping us in the contest for longer mate - we need to take some steps to improve, and continuing to go down by 100 each week is not going to help.
Thats why Roos has been so adamant that he'll be using our percentage as the yardstick this year - not number of wins.
If we actually show signs of improvement by keeping the ball in our possession, scores low, and smaller losses - we should start pinching a few more wins.. and after we start pinching a few more wins - we can start to think about our win/loss ratio as the yardstick.
We have to accept just how shit we were last year, and have been for so long - and realise that we aint going to instantly turn into a winning side.

You're underrating Mackenzie there (and yes, I know it was tongue in cheekBoth aren't super strong though, for example - they'd be smashed by your forward line![]()

Don't ever go to a melbourne game again thanks. The only two games in Victoria that I didn't attend last year were the two that we won. So I probably shouldn't go to the game this Sunday, but my self-loathing means I'll be there, as always.
It's like putting on a comfortable pair of well-worn moccasins.
Comfy, underdog moccasins.
I'm ****ing sick of these moccasins.
That Homer Simpson picture will probably tell the story. Again.
I would love to get the first two goals. That Homer Simpson picture will probably tell the story. Again.
I hate to say it, but I don't think there's much to this game beyond a fervent hope that both teams walk off the field with the same injury list that they had when they walked onto it.
