Actually, what was referred to is 'coaching'. It's about asking questions that helps the person being coached realise what they already know, and to also help them 'learn to learn'. A mentor passes on advice. Regardless, I agree that Carey isn't invested (in anyone/anything else other than himself). Twas always thus, and always thus will be.Carey is a mercenary in coaching terms.

A mentor is someone who is as invested in the mentee's progression as the mentee is at getting better.
