Just watched "last time they met" on Fox Footy and it was round 17 last year when they one by a point. Looking at the side the team is going to be considerably different to the 22 that played only 12 months ago.

Missing from last years 22 tonight:
- Grima
- Hine
- MacMillan
- McKenzie
- Mullett
- Tarrant
- Wells

I know a majority of these blokes haven't played much footy at all this year, just think it is noteworthy that almost 1/3 of the team has changed in just twelve months.

Blokes who are playing who didn't last year:
- Brown
- Dal Santo
- Greenwood
- Wright
- Firrito
- Jacobs
- McDonald

Of the blokes not playing, you would think only Wells would be a walk up start, but coming back from injury would expect him to have exposure at VFL level first, same with MacMillan and possibly Grima. McKenzie, Mullett and Hine all left out on form and Tarrant is cooked for the year (again). I think the blokes coming in add a bit of experience mixed with youth and I would consider this years team stronger than last on exposed form.

For Carlton missing from last year:
- Betts
- Garlett
- Cachia
- Kreuzer
- Scotland
- Lucas
- Carazzo
- McInnes
- Watson
- Armfield

Players who didn't play last year:
- Thomas
- Wood
- Menzel
- Casboult
- Everitt
- Bell
- Docherty
- Ellard
- White
- Graham

Again, staggering that almost half the team can change in just 12 months.

Was thinking while we are still missing a few, Wells is the only one who would improve our 22 by a considerable margin.

Sure Grima for McMahon would be nice, but get Wells back and that is very close to full strength.

Kruezer flogged Goldy last year.

Was embarrasing.

Yeah, in the last quarter Kreuzer was the difference.

Yarran also had a blinder, whilst Betts and Garlett killed us.

Three of those four problems don't exist tonight, but in the spirit of Kerridge, come on down Wood, Daisy and Menzel.

Even if Daisy has had an ordinary year, he can't be eligible for the Kerridge.

Their changes seem more diminishing than ours, but they can still look good this year when they play out of their skins. Not as good as us in that area, though (TM Hirdy*).

Menzel is the worry. Has potential to create havoc.

Agree Bernie, the kid is going to be special and this mob match up well against us. Definite danger game.
McDonald or Atley will play on him one would think.

I reckon Sam Wright will get the job on Menzel. Atley to play on Daisy. McDonald on a wing.
That would be paying a lot of respect to Menzel. Where is Yarran playing these days?

Someone offered me a $5.00 head to head bet with Carlton- no points in. I declined that bet.....

Would Mick put Yarran as a run-with player on Boomer? He has the speed to keep on him defensively and could also expose him running the other way..
