I say we take our offer of 5 and 25 off the table Friday. If they want to deal next week pick 5 it is.

Yeah, 5 + 25 on the table until Friday 4:59pm - take it or leave it.

If not, we'll trade in Christensen instead and get Beams next year.

I think the major point is that it significantly weakens Beams' ability to only go to Brisbane (this year). If he just wants out of Collingwood then it is difficult to assert that he will only go to one club, particularly so, given he is still a contracted player. The family/father narrative suited him just as much as it did Collingwood. His manager stated this was 99% of the reason he was seeking to return north.

Anyhow, you guys have until Friday sundown. Do your best.

Realistically, GC can offer the better pick for Christensen unless we cough up Pick 5.

But still, I'd tell Collingwood that it's Pick 5 + 25 and MAYBE another pick in the 20's if we get the Patfull deal done and that the have until Friday.

Otherwise, we turn our attentions to Christensen.
