I'm pretty sure Hallahan is contracted. We don't have to do anything. I would prefer to keep him, let him develop at Box Hill. Then force his way into the team. I think he can be a very good player. He is contested machine, and we don't have many young players that are of his ilk.

If we keep Schoenmakers then I just don't see a spot for Cheney next season. And i'd be more confident getting a player we like at pick 40 rather than 59 (which is our second pick right now). Plus we aren't known to stop players from exploring better opportunities elsewhere.

Agree he has a very similar player to Puopolo, but we don't really have another player on our list like that. Wouldn't be a bad rookie pick up. Good forward pressure player, that can kick a goal.

It never hurts, having 2 players playing for the same spot.
