Labor had no presence in Frankston, I guess they thought they had it in the bag? The crook had a heap of billboards and Armitage was everywhere, didn't learn the Labor guy's name until I went to vote.

The name is needed to differentiate, but it also turns people off.

I think they would need to gain a larger proportion of the vote and subsume or ally with another party and rebrand, to gain traction in the future
Reckon the LDP and the Sex Party need to combine their talents and try to get a decent sized party up.

I assume in the middle of the night. (Plus who really cares when advertising is desicrated.)
Now that I think a bit more they could do it during peak hour and no shits would be given.

I am always in awe just how easily politicians can just keep bullshiting, doesn't matter which party or what level, just can keep crapping on about bullshit non-stop.

A well organised centrist rural party might be a real threat.
It could be. The NP sold their soul long ago and in the process lost any shred of credibility along with it.

They exist to pork barrel.

The problem there is that the values of the LDP, both socially and economically liberal are at odds with some of the nutters, but the LDP is quiet enough on the social stuff that the pretend libertarians can turn off to it

If the two combine, they have to calculate whether the two halves which are more agressively libertarian in one area, can be stronger as a group and not weaker for the shed votes.

Its a danger. The members and core supporters for both parties are more honestly libertarians but I find that a lot of voters only identify with either the economic or more "American" style values, such as laxer gun laws, of the LDP, or the more socially libertarian values of the Sex party.

Think Mrs Denis Napthine have posted their final tweet on twitter, and what a brilliant one it was as well :D

Can't believe Channel 10 has no coverage of the election until 10.00pm (on any of their channels). Guess they were thinking the count would be much closer.
Pretty much a ratings throwaway.

Most of 10's core audience are either children or dribblers.

LDP voters would definitely be the most interesting combination of people. From Meds, to Smithy to Evo there's a few different types.
