Ridiculous. Let's take breaking bad, walking dead and game of thrones off. The shelves too. Target can suck a lemonThe new version of GTA V has been pulled from the shelves.
Pussification continues.
Haven't seen it but heard Target were told to take it off because of the really bad sexual violence stuff towards women in it. Ex sex workers were amongst those very disturbed by it . . Haven't seen those others you mention yet, but they wouldn't have that , would they ? As I have been told Walking Dead is good .......Ridiculous. This sums it up nicely:

I really was commenting on something that I know very little about
Only heard comments on the radio yesterday , and jumped into the convo without checking all the facts
Just thought the comment re "exsex workers" meant that it was terrible As you say ..... "the voice of morality " ........ Lesson learned for the day . To know what I am talking about
Just an issue that annoys me. As someone mentioned (flawed genius I think) a month or so ago...a long term study was completed on violence in video games and there was no effect lasting psychological effect on the subjects.Ok Thanks Brett33I really was commenting on something that I know very little about

Good God....... surely this isn't how the internet is supposed to work........ is it??!!??Lesson learned for the day . To know what I am talking about![]()
Can't be bothered checking the draft board but does anyone know how godees supporters went switching from a year of coincidentally spruiking McCartin's talent to suddenly favouring Petracca?
I'll probably be shot down hard for this but.....Just an issue that annoys me. As someone mentioned (flawed genius I think) a month or so ago...a long term study was completed on violence in video games and there was no effect lasting psychological effect on the subjects.
Always reeks of some PTA group that has nothing better to do so they get all righteous about something minor. Parents at my high school got a book removed from the curriculum because it was deemed violent and graphic...it was a war novel for Christ sake.
Raise your children well and they can differentiate between what is right and what is wrong. I watched movies like terminator and robocop with my dad before I was in kindergarten, desensitised me if anything. Although I have been told by my mum that I would ask strangers if they were Sarah Connor...but I digress.

Earlier this week a boy in my class asked my why it's so easy to push girls around and when asked he thought it was ok to punch a girl in the face if she hits him first.
I know if kids are raised properly you don't get these issues but so many parents are failing and having access to images/games/movies like the one above isn't helping and I don't see why we need games where people are being killed so realistically.

Parental responsibility optional. This is just it.
Parents aren't putting in the time and effort to instill into their kids the rights and wrongs.
My brother and I have played GTA, Call Of Duty, et al and not once have I thought about slaughtering a prostitute, hijacking a Ferrari, stealing an Aeroplane....
And then there's this shit:

This woman is a sitting member of Parliament.
It's beyond a joke.
Agree with you TennisPlayerAndyDr Carr-Gregg puts it back into perspective with his last quote. And then there's this shit:

Ok I've never played GTA but one Christmas a few years ago a younger cousin got it and was playing while all the kids watched. I watched about 5 minutes and in that time a hooker was dragged out of a car, punched several times and then shot in the face with a shotgun (Is my memory correct or exaggerating?).
There were kids ranging from 4 to 18 watching and I decided to put my breakfast beer down and asked them to turn it off.
Now I grew up on horror movies in the 80's so I don't mind a little Scanners head exploding but now that I'm a teacher I see and hear about kids in my class (primary school) watching movies like Hostel and Mamma and Insidious.
When I was kid and there was a fight at school we all gathered and watched including me so I'm not preaching but kids these days start fights so their friends can record it and during the fight chant 'stomp on his head'.
Earlier this week a boy in my class asked my why it's so easy to push girls around and when asked he thought it was ok to punch a girl in the face if she hits him first. I grew up being told 'under no circumstances do you hit a girl/lady'.
I know if kids are raised properly you don't get these issues but so many parents are failing and having access to images/games/movies like the one above isn't helping and I don't see why we need games where people are being killed so realistically.
Ok rant over and now I feel really old![]()

There are "go to guys" for every issue.I love it when they roll out Carr-Gregg.
The frequency with which he seems to be quoted on stuff like this, you'd think Australia has just the one early-years behavioural psychologist.

Me too Brett33, wouldn't change it for the world either and will do the same with my future kids one day
l used to think I was John Connor, I'd be trying to sleep and hear the neighbour's dog start barking and think "Oh Shit, it's happening".
