Maybe North do have to move on a few of the older players i dont care who for the better of the team but u know what that probably wont happen.

Maybe we do need to need to put our players up for trade apart from half a dozen but u know what that probably wont happen.

Maybe we do need to drop some players that dont usually get dropped but u know what that probably wont happen.

Brad said we looked like schoolboys and some need to step up well Brad U Keep Playing them!! The game was over in the first minute with Gibson's miskick and Jacobs shitting himself as usuall when the heat is on. Yes the whole team was putrid last night but i dont care how many possies a player gets at the end of the game. Whats the point of getting 20 possies if the game is over after 10 minutes.. Its not only about these two players. I dont trust my football club with these points i have made u know making some tough calls Anything!

Great post, my question was in response to the poster that bemoaned Scott for believing we had a good list.

Well, from the inside that group of players mentioned that we recruited between 2008 and 2012, that 5 good years of recruiting which is essential for tilt, has seen the vast majority of the players fail to reach expectation.

The problem is if we go through the motions for another couple of years then the 24 year olds become 26 year olds, then it is someone else's problem, we spend another two years redeveloping with someone new then all of a sudden the 24 year olds are 28 year olds who are on the downward trajectory, some will pull a Wells or Petrie and play our their entire career not knowing any success.

I am not sure that isn't a crystal ball outcome anyone wants to see happen, if we aren't going to just go through the motions for another decade then we need a coach that stands up and demands action rather than make some sniping comments post game then go about and tolerate the same standard, allow the same players repeating the same basic mistakes week after week and season after season.

If these blokes can't execute the basics then he has to pull the pin and drop players, even send some players packing. No supporter wants to see that happen, but we don't want to watch these 12 goal rapings going on all the time.

Our midfield has less system than my local suburban league team, it is actually quite embarrassing that these guys that play just for the love of the game have more footy smarts than most players at our club. They might not be physically gifted, but they understand the basics of what you need to do to win a game of footy.

We are so slow in the Midfield and that is a area we need to improve URGENTLY.We need to drop players not just the normal few and make a statement that there is going to be heads rolled unless this changes.
Yes i know Swallow Dal Santo Wells are out but where is Harper Mullet McKenzie i want to see guys played and Dumont play the kid for a full game.
I am worried this Waite recruitment might bite us on the butt.

Dumont isn't fit enough to run out a game, he's the least of our worries will be one of our best.

He can actually read the game. Rare for a North midfielder.

Lets bring Dumont in earlier we might as well games over Brad..

"What's a Dumont" ?

He was one of the real bright spark moments of this season, superb effort as sub against Cats.

Dropped immediately.

Says it all really.....

But a poster on here listed him as a better coach than scott. This thread is embarrassing.

Then I'd suggest the poster was likely venting at the time.

As for the thread being embarassing, why is that because people question why after 6 years the team still has inherent issues and some of it lays squarely at the feet of the coach?

THats what this joint is for debate between fans who by a large collectively just want to see the team succeed.

Attacking our coach is poor form. Supporters support.

Are you saying that I don't support because after 6 years I question where we are at?
There is questioning if he is the right person and then there there is attacking the man. Some cross the line IMO. While he is with us we should back him.

Supporters should give praise when things go right and question when things don't.

Not blindly follow.

The point of that particular post was that Scott is very much a middle of the road coach. Whether he listed Beveridge as better, equal or worse doesn't really change that.
