I remember that goal.
The helicopter rotation defied the laws of physics.

Matty Larkin of this era.
Fair enuff. Fyfe's was worse and he got the same fine.Andrew Swallow, North Melbourne, has been charged with tripping Josh Kelly, GWS Giants, during the third quarter of the Round 12 match between North Melbourne and the GWS Giants, played at Spotless Stadium on Saturday June 20, 2015.
In summary, he can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.
Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the GWS Giants Football Club, it was the view of the panel the incident should be classified as intentional conduct with low impact to the body. This offence was classified as a $1500 sanction. The player has no applicable bad record. An early plea can reduce the penalty to a $1000 sanction.
I didn't watch Larkin but have been given the impression he was much more of a playmaker than Swallow.
Larkin was definitely a better player - more creative and more skilful. Arguably our best inside midfielder behind Cable.
The comparison is more that both have led theirs teams nearly unassisted in the midfield* during a tough period between the retirement of some premiership heroes (Larkin - Schimma and Greig; Swallow - Grant and Simpson as examples) and a new talented generation coming through (Larkin - Schwass and Stevens; Swallow - Ziebell and Cunnington). Both at times virtually carried their teams at times.
Larkin is a great of the club, Swallow is definitely on the way there as well IMO.
*Swallow had Harvey, Larkin had German.

First up Larkin's legs wouldn't look out of place on a full sized billiard table.
And yeah he was a wizard especially by hand very strong through the core.
His career fell away very quickly, have often wondered why that happened.
His son is the one I'd like some information onMust be 13-14 now.
Net search suggests he's playing for Bundoora u15, site didn't have stats tho.

Too slow for Pagan's 1993 team. Couldn't fit him in. McAdam took his place as the goal kicking wizard.
Didn't Larkin have really bad hamstrings and just couldn't get on the park?Too slow for Pagan's 1993 team. Couldn't fit him in. McAdam took his place as the goal kicking wizard.
