Apparently it was Paddy and Rory saying they wanted to wear shorts as big as Eddie, so they pulled them halfway down.WTF?
Or in Dangers case... all the way down!Apparently it was Paddy and Rory saying they wanted to wear shorts as big as Eddie, so they pulled them halfway down.
You don't think that Dangerfield for Oxley and a slight downgrade of their first rounder is a steal?

Scharenberg was missing from the In-Out summary, my bad on that, but Aish doesn't affect the Collingwood In-Out. They would give Scharenberg who while being a high pick is coming off a knee reco. His value would be fairly even with Lever. They downgrade their first pick a little and throw Oxley on and in return get a genuine A-Grader. Not as bad as it was when I didn't see Scharenberg, but still a great deal for them.Well, adding Aish and Schernberg would even it up.

Someone on the Geelong board that thinks that the pick swap between Geelong and AFC last year was like a deposit on us giving them Dangerfield through RFA.
WTF?
Bernie vince got sacked for that!!
In Rucci's exact words at the time. "that's disgusting!"Bernie vince got sacked for that!!
I don't see what the problem is with last year's trade. We gave up four spots in the first round, got the player we all wanted anyway at 14 (who has proven himself to be a future gun) and improved 12 places in the second round. It was a great trade, and it continues to be. Geelong have every right to be happy too. Win Win.Most of us here thought it was a horrible trade for the club and that Geelong would have been laughing their asses off when we took it. If anyone on the Geelong board is trying to make an argument that they did us a favour then they're either deluded or trolling.
That post is pretty much a dead give away that they're clearly just making shit up.
Yep - in hindsight it worked out great. Let's not start up this doozy again.I don't see what the problem is with last year's trade. Totally agree with that. Nonsense post but then again it's about par for the course for that thread on the Geelong board.Yep - in hindsight it worked out great. Let's not start up this doozy again.
My point was that in no way when that deal was done could it be seen as favouring AFC as a side-deal related to letting Danger walk via RFA.
Adelaide posters have gone over this topic to death, but I still can't fathom why people are using the "we might have missed out on Lever" as an argument. It is such a waste of time to get worked up over a hypothetical which never happened. It's like waking up from a dream where your girlfriend cheated on you and then being angry with her for the rest of the week because of it.Retrospectively judging it now yes, but we also ran the risk that we might have missed out on Lever or Durdin. Thankfully we didn't
If you had read everything that has been posted on that topic - you'd know that we didn't know Lever would be available at 14, and in fact were just very very lucky he wasn't picked up in the picks 10, 11, 12.Adelaide posters have gone over this topic to death, but I still can't fathom why people are using the "we might have missed out on Lever" as an argument. But how many of us has had it happen, that our girlfriend has woken up from a dream that we cheated (and had not) and she stayed mad or wierd for the week?Adelaide posters have gone over this topic to death, but I still can't fathom why people are using the "we might have missed out on Lever" as an argument. Sorry, I read that as "girlfriend wakes up and stays mad/weird for the week". The dream part is superfluous. But how many of us has had it happen, that our girlfriend has woken up from a dream that we cheated (and had not) and she stayed mad or wierd for the week?
its more complex than your average trade, but the fact Collingwood get a great deal makes it absolutely plausible.Massive rumour going around.
Dangerfield to Collingwood
Scharenberg to crows
Aish to Crows
Oxley to Brisband
Crows get: Scharenberg, Aish & Collingwood first pick (approx 6 to 8)
Crows lose: Dangerfield, first round pick (to Collingwood), second round pick (to Brisbane)
Collingwood get: Dangerfield & Crows first pick (approx pick 10 to 12)
Collingwood lose: Oxley & first pick (approx 6 to 8)
Brisband get: Adam Oxley & crows second round pick (approx 26)
Lose: Aish
Matty Crouch has more footy nouse in his big toe than those four put together.I don't actually care anymore if Danger stays, or goes. I just want VB, Wright, Mackay and Henderson gone at the end of the year, don't care where, another club, working night fill at Woolies, anywhere but here.
"THE Patrick Dangerfield Cup will form the back drop to Adelaide’s dramatic Round 23 road trip to Geelong."
Errgh, f*ck this to hell and the same to anyone who mentions the phrase "PD Cup". It's not like a battle for last and to see who gets to draft him. The belief that he will make a decision based on who wins this match is utterly brain dead.
I agree. If he is staying then fine, if he wants out - then play someone in his spot for our future.I feel, any player who had any respect for his supporters would sign well that game.
If we still don't know what he is going to do, it's safe to say he will be leaving.
