Scharenberg was missing from the In-Out summary, my bad on that, but Aish doesn't affect the Collingwood In-Out. They would give Scharenberg who while being a high pick is coming off a knee reco. His value would be fairly even with Lever. They downgrade their first pick a little and throw Oxley on and in return get a genuine A-Grader. Not as bad as it was when I didn't see Scharenberg, but still a great deal for them.

The threat of Collingwood re Danger is big. It's pretty clear they'll be willing to pay more than Geelong, and therefore make a long-term lucrative offer that we won't be able to match. When you consider that the Pies lost Beams last year they must have a bit of cash to spare and you know Eddie will be looking to add some star-factor after Beams' departure.

Retrospectively judging it now yes, but we also ran the risk that we might have missed out on Lever or Durdin. Thankfully we didn't

If you had read everything that has been posted on that topic - you'd know that we didn't know Lever would be available at 14, and in fact were just very very lucky he wasn't picked up in the picks 10, 11, 12.

its more complex than your average trade, but the fact Collingwood get a great deal makes it absolutely plausible.

two massive punts on Scharenberg and Aish given what they've actually shown at the level, if they both come off though we'd be in a much better position as far as team makeup goes IMO. Looking at in the most optimistic way possible, we ship off a ball burner and replace him with two classy users who could have an incredible impact once we have Sloane, Brad (please please please), Matt and CEY dishing the ball out to them, along with Douglas and Smith.

I feel, any player who had any respect for his supporters and had intentions of staying would sign well that game. I would hopem he would make his mind up before this point.

I agree. If he is staying then fine, if he wants out - then play someone in his spot for our future.

Put the contract in front of him - if he says he still wants to wait till the end of the year ... he can do it in the 2's. What possible advantage is there in playing him for the rest of the season / in a final if he is leaving anyway?
