I don't think that Carlile going into the PSD is a very likely outcome but:

No club is going to take a player in the PSD if he a) nominates another club and b) puts himself into the PSD on a $1m one year contract. If Carlisle nominates the Saints are Carlton going to risk $1m on a player that doesn't want to play for them and will leave after 1 year? I don't think so.

He'll get to where he wants to go.

Brisbane has the worst forward line and we have the worst backline.

Carlisle is a nice inclusion but only through PSD as he is damaged goods via WADA.

I want us to announce our new coach ASAP - I can understand the club is going through process but Henderson only likely to sign with the right coach - Henderson and Carlisle in defence with Jamison taking third tall will improve things. If we manage to get Carlisle then we will get Schache I assume.

Schache and Jaksch in forward line has a nice ring to it with Casboult in the mix.

Our half forward line needs a lot of work though, Menzel been interrupted but Everitt been super this season.. need a couple of half forwards with loads of flair and elite foot skills... Bell, Curnow, Ellard is just too VFL skillwise for my liking.

That leaves midfield and happy with Kreuzer + Murphy + Gibbs + Thomas + Cripps + Boekhorst +Graham..need two more youngsters coming through the midfield and I like the look of young Bradley Walsh. Need two more good solid youngsters to play midfield.

Backline of Carlisle + Henderson + Jamison + Simpson + Docherty + Tuohy + Buckley is a nice mix.

Two Irish boys Sheehan and Byrne have elite kicking skills and pace to burn along the potential of Rice would be trying to push themselves in the backline.

Don't think it's all doom and gloom looking forward - but Carlisle will be nice inclusion to our pathetic defence...with right coach that possess some tactical nouse would embed a team oriented defence.

And you've missed one important point, you get what the market dictates as fair. No one will give up a pick inside the first 10 picks for him. You'll also be narrowed in who you can deal with, more than likely down to the one club he nominates. Which means you get what's available. Which if it's Carlton or st kjlda it will be a second rounder and some steak knives
