Or pissed off danger aint joining them. This actually occurred to me the instant it happened. Selwood got a cheap one in too, maybe he's unhappy that he won't be top dog anymore?

So is continuing to recruit Victorians only to watch them go home when they are nearing or in their prime. What's the answer? I really don't know. You go best available.
Limiting ourself to sa players is the dumbest thing we could do.

West AdelaideThe go home factor is a furphy ......you don't see "fringe" players talk "go home" .....only the stars who believe they can get the big$ and choose where they want to playSo is continuing to recruit Victorians only to watch them go home when they are nearing or in their prime. ....HTFC)We don't recruit Victorians only.So is continuing to recruit Victorians only to watch them go home when they are nearing or in their prime. What's the answer? I really don't know.
Not every Victorian has wanted to go home
We have to continue to bring the best talent available to the club even if it means we only keep 7 / 10 interstate recruits, even on this ratio we are still in front
Douglas and every Victorian currently on the list.So far which ones have stayed Reilly, McKay. ..and.
Josh KennedyIn the end of the day, we are better of losing one, or two stars then completely limiting who we can draft.
Because of how the system works, is that whatever we lose we get compensation for so it can be recycled, and for every Tippett, there is a Sloane. All about picking the right characters.
Not really, no.
A good gameplan can hide an average players deficencies, but name me one player that has gone from an average player, to a champion by switching clubs?
And i don't mean champion as in a premiership player, more so a superstar, elite etc.
That comment was more the suggestion of drafting SA only is comparable to some of the shit served on 5AA callback radio. I.e. it's idiotic to the extreme.

I believe there are more Victorians in the team than South Australians. But don't worry about the facts, they can be damn sight annoying sometimes. So far which ones have stayed Reilly, McKay. ..and.
Maybee its time to stop being the doormat of the league the hubris at geelong yesterday was sickening the pro melbourne media bias vomit inducing is it time for our club to draw a line in the sand, once dangerfield goes sack milburn immediately become inclusive and only recruit south australians actually grow a set as a club become uncomprimising overtly aggressive and go out of our way to destroy clubs that mess with us first off geelong

Oh yay, this crap again.
So if we'd taken Ebert instead of Danger (and he didn't still ask to go to Port) we'd have Brad Ebert.
Now, if Danger does want to go, we'll get a trade/compensation. I guarantee 100% that even if we get shafted in the compo it will still be worth more than Brad Ebert. Whatever pick or trade we'd get, there's no way we would want to trade it to Port for Ebert, it would be paying overs.
Sure, you might save yourselves the "Oh, Player X left, the sky is falling" meltdowns, but you'd be doing so by selecting the inferior outcome.
Douglas and every Victorian currently on the list.
Smith comes to mind....I'm not saying recruit SA kids instead (although I used too). I'm saying there's an issue and I'm not sure how to fix it because if it keeps happening, we are no chance in hell of winning a premiership.
We don't need either player. Last year we had our first top 15 pick in ages so we had to go to the draft. As such we had very little trade currency.Screw drafting Vic kids or picking only SA kids. I just want someone to nominate us as a preferred destination. Ryder last year and now Dixon this year "want" to be traded to the Smears. FFS!!
Anyone out there want to come to the AFC....anyone....someone...Beuller?
Tell me the reason they want to go there. ..Screw drafting Vic kids or picking only SA kids. I just want someone to nominate us as a preferred destination. Ryder last year and now Dixon this year "want" to be traded to the Smears. FFS!!

We'll get done for draft tampering if there is even a sniff of truth to this.Adelaide swapping draft picks with Geelong ought to be an indicator that a deal has been done a long time ago, maybe we'll get Cockatoo + pick a player we probably wanted to draft along with Lever for Danger.
Why on earth would we/he come out this week and say that he's leaving, on the eve of our first finals appearance since 2012? That is far, far worse than the speculation.
Unless he's staying and announces earlier, we're not definitively going to know anything until after Brownlow night/The Grand Final. Strap yourselves in for another few weeks.
