Lets say I was the first who knew about Milne's case
Would it not have been possible for me to state on bigfooty that he "may have boundary issues with women"
Would that be worse than me suggesting outrage that St Kilda have not sacked him, wondering how any of his team mates could endure his presence. The first we understand and Milne retains his dignity in the face of serious allegations in the second your acting as the judge jury and executioner whilst pretending how mature and discretionary you are being.

I haven't claimed that anyone acted with discretion, in fact I imagine that most posters who have commented on these rumours now wish they hadn't based on the ensuing shit storm. But personally attacking them is not called for, these are the same guys who provide most of the information that keeps this thread ticking.

These are just rumours of rumours, things will only get exponentially worse if the details of these rumours are shared.

This thread is ridiculous. You have a whole lot of posters wanting the world to know that they are privy to information that others are not privy to, yet they don't want to share it for fear of it being wrong. The only reason they keep posting and replying to questions with "no comment" is because they want people to know that they are in the loop.

It's pretty simple really, stop talking about cards falling in place, and certain things needing to happen, because all it does is increase the speculation and innuendo surrounding the player.

FWIW, I don't want Carlisle. It has nothing to do with this supposed rumour (which if is what I have heard, I would be blown away if it's true, knowing the family and their background). Put it to bed and let the club do their job.

Iago is a middle aged Adult Coach - he can take it or should be able to - and the innuendo's were what about him conniving positioning for a head coaching role.

Surely, you must see that the distinction between Montgomery conniving for a job and the speculation over 24 year old Carlisle is much more unsavoury. Not to mention that Monty being positioned already within the club was in a powerful position to counter any speculation or character charges.
