I thought the knock on Seedsman was his kicking?

Good kick, can kick a long way

My Collingwood mate says decision making at times can let him down, especially coming out of defence.....

Like Smith goes for the attacking kick that doesn't always come off

Nakia will be the big fish IMO.
Love the optimist in you ;) .....you'll probably be disappointed though

How does the top dozen rate against previous years?

Does it thin out from late first round onwards?

The talk is clubs prepared to trade 2015 picks however want to hold on to 2016 picks

Yeah listen the top 15 is pretty bloody good. Guys like Weidman who's projected from 8-15 you could probably build sides around which says a lot about the top 10-15 selections. After that it becomes quite foggy, SA kids like Ryan Burton and Bonner are considered very talented but there's doubts what they'd bring to the table ( these are the kids projected from 15-20).

Burton has always been a key forward and is a little one dimensional which is fine if your 195-200cm but he's a tweener, sort of like St.kildas Tim Membrey. Really it's just a lucky dip after the early selections.

Depth this year based on circumstances

Hawks supporters saying he's best 22 easily when fit

A big pre season will see him play wing, no doubt about it.....

The lad is a Jet
Yeah whatever. He's hardly played for two years and when fit he's in their bottom six.

Hawk posters are saying he left Sydney because family is important but he'd come to Adelaide? And how does getting to Melbourne or Adelaide get him closer to family in the NT?

He's got some assets but this track record doesn't say pick 15 to me. At best second round - 29.

"Like Smith" ... say no more. I'm in!

But seriously, remember seeing him and liking his rebound just heard on the radio today that a question mark existed over his disposal, hence why Chesty Bond opted to select Marley before him.

The Jack Darling of this draft?

Mate I'm not sure if you comprehend what I'm saying.. The draft this year is extremely thin, have a read of some phantoms.
Actually, most people I have spoken to say that the draft falls off at around 20.

Matter of opinion, I know, but does it change your opinion?

DEFINITELY not pick 15 in a million years .......would have said 20-25 range, but 29 could be the level too

Oh god, now we're talking him down...

It's obvious he has talent. It just about seems guaranteed he'll live up to it. He's definitely not worth pick 10-odd, but he's not worth 29 either.

Jed Anderson ...very good ...ripped it up PS and thought he'd play at least half the season in seniors

Quick left footer .....has done his apprenticeship after injury troubles ....would be surprised if Hawthorn willingly let him go

Thanks, great incite

And this is where a pick just wouldn't get it done... Perceived value differs based on what you want/have to give up.

Have you seen him play? He's absolutely in the bottom six selected for Hawthorn When He's Fit. Which hasn't been often in the last two years.

He's got almost no exposed form for the last two years for various reasons, some of which are freakish and shouldn't be repeated, but how do you assess his worth on that basis?

Our second round pick is around 29. We shouldn't offer 13.

Pretty good summation and a perfect example why a player would needed to be added and/or a straigh like for like exchange.

How is he guaranteed to live up to it? Yet to show much at all at the highest level despite a few years on the list.

Thoughts on this, tige19?

I'm more inclined to think the top 15 are legitamately good, high end talent. After that it's such a raffle, the phantom boards and professionals really have no idea, some are saying a pick 20 could fall to rookie selections such is the eveness of average talent available.

Some people need to look at draft picks not by number but assess it on available talent.. There's great arguments and opinions stating guys that projected at pick 20 might drop to rookie selections, in fact outside the top 15 or so the phantoms are admittedly stabbing in the dark as the quality is quite poor.

In a draft like this year Jed would be valued much higher than previous years or even next year (which is considered very strong).
The first 25 picks aren't much different to most years and I'd say Jed is worth 22-27 pick

From 3rd round on it's hit or miss
