I hope he is still getting to feel balls...
He played for Claremont in the WAFL this year. His missus is hot, see her most days, he gets along fine.

Here's something, could Jetta get all aggrieved we haven't bent over backwards to pander to his clubs requirements and ditch us for the Dockers ?

Pick 39 for luenenberger Brisbane are filthy
Ha ha, well at least they can match and potentially get a better offer ... Oh wait, they would be dealing with Dodoro. Can just see that negotiation. Dodoro's opening offer is 6th round pick, but will consider increasing it to 5th under duress.

Sinclair is replaceable. Look at our track record with rucks. If one goes down i can see mcinness being an adequate fwd ruck replacement. Remeber sinkers against port? Utter trash who nobody wanted to play ever again. If we are getting jetta then the risk of dropping a solid second ruck for him is acceptable for mine. Age is the issue. Whats jetta got 2, 3 years tops to utilise his speed?

Well, he's definitely coming home. Swans really have no leverage other than asking us as nicely as possible to play fair.

Could we trade our 2nd and 3rd, and then use all our other picks to upgrade rookies (and rookie a few players)? Would upgrading Cat B players count towards the 3 change minimum? Adamson & Brophy were both very promising this year and probably deserve to quality for a call up next year if form warrants.

EDIT: Sydney has 14, 33 and 52, and we have 36, 37 and 55. I'm guessing that Jetta is worth somewhere between 36+55 and 36+37 and things have stalled a bit... Sydney would probably give way eventually but we might look for either a 3-way deal or see what Sydney will offer for Sinclair.

How do people feel about Sinclair + 36 + 54 for Jetta + 14?

I am not sure what our picks need to be so that they equal pick #14. I would suggest giving Sydney more than the equal value of pick #14 however so that they don't need to eat into there second rounder for there academy pick.

I would assume that 36 + 38 + 54 combined pick value = 14.

With compo picks added (incl Leuenberger's) I think we now have 36 (502 points) + 37 (483) + 57 (182) which totals 1167 points, 6 more than pick 14 (1161 points).

However, as was pointed out to me on the Sydney Board, you can't choose what picks the points come from, they come out of the next available pick so it would still eat into their second rounder if they trade their first.

Depending on who bids on Mills though, they ultimately wouldn't be losing alot, if anything, the way I understand it.

An example: (which is every chance of being wrong)

Say GC bid pick 3 (2234pts) with discount thats 1675 points they need. So pick 14 (1161) plus 33 (563), remaining points of 49 means pick 69. So they'll have pick 54 and 69 left

With the proposed trade they would use 33 (563) + 36 (502) + 37 (483) + 54 (220), remaining points of 93 gives pick 65. So they're left with 57 and 65.

Because in the BF world logic.....

Youngster = Potential to be anything in world/ Will be the best player in the league within 2 seasons.

Known player = limitations/cant improve/not worth it since they wont be around in 5-10 years.

That's why draft picks, despite year in year out being shown to be 50% guesswork, are always completely overvalued.

Our pick 17 could draft a 300+ game duel brownlow norm smith winning player....

Or it could be a Kane Lucas, Tom Swift, Gerrick Weedon, Jordan Gysberts, Jayden Pitt etc etc...

^^^ also Bigfooty logic. Clubs asses players independently and for their own benefit objectively as possible. They don't rule out relevant positives and negative factors like people on here do.

Is there any chance we could go after Richmond's Lennon - from the clips I've seen he could be something special. Pretty versatile and good skills.

What about a three-way trade with Hawthorn:

WCE lose Sinclair, 36
WCE get Jetta, Anderson

Swans lose Jetta, 14, 33
Swans get Sinclair, 18, 36

Hawks get 14, 33
Hawks lose 18, Anderson

In other words:

WCE get Jetta + Anderson for Sinclair and 36
Swans trade in Sinclair at the cost of Jetta + a 4 spot downgrade of their 1st and 2nd picks
Hawks trade Anderson for 33 + a 4 spot upgrade of their 1st.

That pretty much means we're doing a direct swap of Sinclair for Jetta?

Only if you think we can get Anderson for 36. My impression was that he was valued more around the 25 mark but if not then Hawthorn is the wrong partner for that trade.

EDIT: If Anderson can be had for a pick in the 30's, why not just trade Sinclair + 57 for Jetta + 33? Preferably after trading 36 for Anderson (so the Hawks cant ask for 33).

Melbourne have pick 25

oh wait

Maybe if we convince Hawthorn to swap Anderson for Melksham... :drunk:

Sinclair had a medical for the Sydney Swans in the past few days ....get ready to lose a ruckman .

Dont think Sinclair will be as good for Swans as he was this season at West Coast , suited at West Coast ..

Well, that depends. He won't necessarily be as good around the ground given he will have to spend more time in the ruck, but as a primary ruck his overall value to the team would be pretty high.
