We did push him out the club so we could get a high second round pick for him. If the club knew that if we got pick 39 for Leuy months out, they wouldn't let him go through FA. They would of tried to convince him to stay. The other poster is saying is that we should of made an effort to make him stay and if he decided to go the FA, the club should of monitored the deal very closely with the AFL to determine what band of compensation we got. The club handled it in a very sloppy manner.This is unrelated to the fact that he wanted to leave to play first choice ruck...
