Oh I'm sorry, I forgot the purpose of this website was to talk about football. My bad.
I enjoy reading what you post, you make some decent calls (some are just crazy though haha), but who wants to read a huge page of text.

I value your contribution, just press enter a few times for me please :)

I reviewed each position of my team and where I'm likely to make changes. Don't read it if you don't want to, that's why I just posted a photo of my team with it.

only 10k left and am really wanting to upgrade the blicavs into martin.

if some more expensive rookies pop up I'll have to downgrade one of my premo mids to a mid pricer and maybe that will allow me to get to Martin.

any thoughts guys??

also anyone got a league code?

Nice team. Im personally not a fan of the rucks so I would downgrade wines to a rookie and use the 400k to upgrade lobbe and blicavs. Imo blicavs won't really improve on last year, hence my preference to paying up to 30k more for a Jacobs/Martin/nic nat.

Thoughts, my main concern is Midfield and whether i should squeeze another premo in. Team will change 100 times before season starts.

Very Solid. Personally prefer Pendles over Hanners, but he should be a good POD. The only potential issue I can see is the dependence on having 3 on field defence rookies, so I would consider downgrading crouch to add a fourth premo defender, but if enough cash cows are featuring in round 1, the structure could work very well.

Fiddling this morning

My actual team

DEF: Matthew Boyd, Rory Laird, Kade Kolodjashnji, Jimmy Bartel, Darcy Tucker, Mitch Brown (Michael Hartley, Kieran Collins)

I really dislike the backline rookies this season, even someone like Mitch Brown isn't that appealing so finding a way to put someone like Luke McDonald in there will be important at D5 I think. I thought all pre season that KK was an absolute lock but I'm now willing to find other ways, Jasper Pittard and Sam Docherty keep finding themselves in there every now and then. If Boyd becomes too much of a risk (highly doubt he will he's almost first picked) then Kade Simpson finds his way in there. Jesse Lonergan looks good as a break out but I'm unsure what role he will play once Gold Coast is at full strength. In saying that if he puts up a 100 average for the opening month and a half it'll be hard not to keep him. If you start with him of course. Taylor Duryea is another who I could put in there to save a bit of cash. Selwood has to be named round 1 to make my side of course, I may wiggle some room and get Fyfe in there for another captain option, if not, someone like Bontempelli, Shiel or Sloane are the most likely for that spot. I've had Franklin in all pre season but there was a post made by showcasing how few players per team go on and score 100. For the reason that Sydney just have so many options to score over 100 I think Franklin is a pass. For now. Barlow could potentially find his way out for the same reason. Out of the forwards this season there are few who could play midfield a great deal. I feel Martin, Wingard, Barlow and Hall are the most likely. I love Sammy Gray as an option but I'd be hesitant to start him and Wingard in the same team. Mitch Robinson could be an outside chance to break 95 this season, but 95 would only just scratch a bare minimum from a F6. Toby Greene has the resume to be picked at F4 and be an over 100 player but if you remember that year he had a run of 11 straight 100's and only just managed to get 101. Obvious options like Dalhause and Deledio will be there but I see them both as upgrade targets. Higgins interests me a tad but the price tag is unappealing, I haven't seen Ben McGlynn mentioned a whole lot but he could definately hover around that 88-94 mark, little bit cheaper but higher risk. Jake Stringer would've been locked and loaded had Stewart Crameri not been suspended, I can't see him playing a huge chunk of midfield minutes unless Minson, Campbell/Boyd/Redpath and Roughead are all in the side. I seen to be struggling more with the forwardline than anything else this season.

I've seen a few teams with Milera in. Obviously he has plenty of talent. 175K price worries me. With the Crows hard draw in the first 8 rounds, I think he will get fewer SC points than people think he will.

Like this team. I think the 4 premo, 1 midprice midfield will be fine as it allows you to have a solid team across all lines. I would consider dropping 1 of the 200k cash cows however, and upgrading Shiel to a superpremo (Ablett if fit for Rd 1).

thanks mate that's a really good point! I honestly couldn't find good rookies to fill the mids out so I wanted to go one extra premo (I know more will pop up by the end of nab). I'll have a tinker and see what I can come up with!

He's only in there because I think he will average upward of 10 points on everyone else cheaper than him. Cockatoo and Ben Kennedy are 2 guys who could take that spot. If Tom Phillips plays well pre season and Dougal Howard can lock down a spot early at Port I could drop Milera for a cheaper guy, hopefully both Hunt and Petracca play then that makes it an easy decision. Pocketing the 50k would be handy. But if Milera averages 70 in the first 6 weeks then he's done his job. Quick cash generation and bring in Petracca and pocket 200k which would be nice. Rookies this year were always going to be slim. It wasn't a very strong draft class so getting a team upgraded like usual could be hard. Sacrificing a premium player for 250k and less players could be the only way to upgrade quickly. Dean Towers, Daniel Wells, Jarryd Lyons, James Sicily, Jed Anderson, Ben Kennedy, Corey Ellis, Nakia Cockatoo could be important players this year, even if they only average 70 it'll be better to pick them over guys who average 50-60.

It's difficult to read when you make multiple observations/reviews (16 in fact) all in a single paragraph.

Here you go, fixed it for you.

I'm glad you managed to squeeze reading that into your busy schedule, my knight in shinning armor, what would I do without you.

too many mid pricers. wietering is a horrible choice.. change him to Adams from Bulldogs, then turn crouch and wells into a premo mid.

so would you rather

- wines at M5, Blicavs and Lobbe (rucks) and 10 k
or
- rookie at M5, Goldstein and Martin (rucks) and 70k
???

I was no.1 in theory but no.2 looks tasty in my team
Mid pricers always look better in theory. My question is, why is Libba not your M5, where else are you spending the money? Or do you not have Libba at all?

You've overcooked the midfield. Mid rookies make $$$. 3 rookies in defence is 1 too many. I'd downgrade JOM (inj) & Crowley (200k is wasted on the bench) to 117-123k rookies and use the cash to bring in another Def premo that can average 90+.
Yeah same feedback from me.. spend a little less cash in the midfield.. your forwards and backs are far too weak.
Yes that's the same mistake I made last year come to think of it (overcooked mids) thanks for knocking some sense in to this slow learning putz.

yeh my bad, shouldn't have put M5 next to the rookie in my post.

taking wines out pushes Libba to mid 5.

Libba is at m5........
