Ok so the bottom line is that I need a job. My current tertiary study means I'm busy during the day Monday-Friday, so I just need something I can do Monday-Thursday about 5:00pm-12:00am. I've given my resume and CV to numerous places including Woolworths, Coles, Rebel Sport, Big W and Target. Haven't heard anything in return. With funds wearing thin, and parental financial support dissipating as I get older, I need to earn a little bit of money.

If anyone help me in any way, shape or form, that'd be greatly appreciated.

Adult performer, escort services are off the cards unfortunately.

My 96 Away Commemorative kit came today, Ordered an XL to allow me to grow into it in my older fatter years.

Nice and roomy but shame theres not enough room to shove an orange through the neck loop though.

May have to just frame it.

Not too sure mate, had to order online being in Tassie.

Didn't want to risk missing out in case it was presale only.

To elaborate. I can get it on, but it's a tight fit over the scone.

Channel 7 to reap an extra $2m from longer ad breaks during Thursday and Friday night game

THE AFL’s decision to extend quarter-time and three-quarter-time breaks on Friday nights by 30 seconds each has given an estimated $2 million free kick to Channel 7.

The league announced by email just hours before the first match of this season that, after “a request from broadcast partner the Seven Network”, quarter-time and three-quarter time had been wound out from six minutes to six minutes and 30 seconds.

The change to the AFL’s official regulations applied to the Thursday night Round 1 Richmond-Carlton game and is expected to apply to the four remaining Thursday night matches this season.

Twenty-five Friday night matches are to be played this year — meaning a total of 30 minutes of extra advertising time available to Channel 7.

Respected television analyst Steve Allen of Fusion Strategy told the Herald Sun those extra minutes equated to about $2m in extra advertising income.

Fox Footy — which is owned by News Corp Australia, the publisher of the Herald Sun — is also a beneficiary of the extra advertising time, as are the commercial radio stations which cover the matches.

During last Friday night’s Hawthorn-Adelaide game, Seven’s quarter-time commercial break lasted for about four minutes and 30 seconds and included two Seven promos and eight separate advertisements.

The three-quarter time commercial break ran along similar lines.

Extended breaks are not being considered for other timeslots this season.

It is understood Channel 7’s request for more advertising time was made after the record $2.5 billion broadcast rights deal was struck last year and was not part of negotiations.

That deal comes into effect from next season.

Channel 7 wouldn’t comment on the new arrangements or the $2m figure on Tuesday.

An AFL spokesman said: “The AFL is in consultation with its broadcast partners regarding a thirty second extension to quarter and three-quarter time break periods for Thursday Night matches in season 2016”.

“This is an extension to the previously advised trial of longer break periods for Friday night matches this season.”

Seven is thought to be comfortable that its presentation of the game has not been damaged by the changes.

The network issued a public apology at the end of Sunday night’s Melbourne-Richmond Anzac Eve match for interrupting a performance of The Last Post with a promotional break for its popular cooking show My Kitchen Rules.

You wouldn't pass the working with children check.

Had fun on the station this morning. There a nuffy Melbourne supporter who's there every morning.

Station master at Kilmore is a Collingwood supporter but was chatting very enthusiastically about North, with the usual but about who we've played added in, but didn't realise we've already knocked off Adelaide here and Gold Coast up there.

The Melbourne nuffy bought into it, carrying on how they should've beaten us and will next time as they are a better side than North

I fired back that they couldn't beat us with an eight goal breeze at their back and how I'd taken my daughter to watch them fold like a pack of cards to the Essendon geriatrics and Under 12's.

So then HE fired back with the "Who have you played?" and I said "Just shit sides like Melbourne".

He wanted to keep going but I had to head over the other side as my train was coming, so I just said with a big smartarse grin on my face"Dude, you go for Melbourne....."

I think he's on BigFooty somewhere because there was steam coming out of his ears when I said that!!

I'm looking to upgrade my GA membership and get reserved seats for this game, the last couple of time I've done this though (vs Crows) I ended seated in a big flock of opposition supporters. Does anyone know what end Norths cheer squad sits? And is there a way on ticketmaster to try and sit in a bay with mostly roos supporters ? (not looking to sit in cheer squad)

Home games - Lockett end. Anywhere between aisles 17- 39 are usually fully North areas on L1.
