As far as I know (and I'm hardly a millennial) it's in reference to 'fan girls' who are basically teen girls who go crazy for boy bands, Bieber etc. So I don't know why it'd be spelt 'boi' but believe me I'm hardly an expert on this complex important issue of our times.

It's just another pejorative term used by Scott critics in default of reasoned argument.

I thought the alternate spelling 'boi' gained traction when used to refer to Apple fanboys. Of course it's applied more widely than that now. The term fanboy to refer to ardent followers of a particular brand, product etc. would have been around for a long time.

It does have its applications. Some people are so loyal to a brand, product, company etc. that they can't bear to be critical of it regardless of whatever mistakes it makes/has done to it or what the alternatives are.

My ole man was saying the same thing, last year.

Who knows, maybe we were blessed in the 07 to 11 years that when the sum of all parts are not working that is the impression given.

We are just not good enough, we haven't beaten any team in the top 4 and have lost to the 11th and 12th teams on the ladder in successive weeks.

Clearly you don't assimilate the posts of many who support CS in the general sense. He's not the perfect coach. Just a very good one in most posters view.
