The problem is the entitled right is mostly composed of "lifters" with replaceable skills yet they think they are the backbone of this country. If you were Labor would you even want control in a hung parliament? Especially with Shorten. Would be much better to sit back and take a big majority next election.

My fun conspiracy theory was about the CFA. A clear own goal poorly explained right before the election in the State where Labor does well; in Shorten's own hometown. News reports suggested Labor weren't focussed on the marginals, and that this was weakening their campaign. I don't trust Mark Kenny, but I think he wrote about a two-election campaign. But now I'm talking about the media bloody deserting us this election, so this no longer feels fun.

They both act dodgy, you don't think this crosses the line from dodgy to criminal?

I assume sending communications while fraudulently claiming to be part of a government body is a criminal offense.

I think it has to be looked at. Australian politics is shit enough as it is without adding blatant fraud to it. Imagine if it gets the green light and next election we all get to put up with both sides pretending to be people.

Probably the saddest thing is there are plenty of people that fall for it. I used to be proud of our forced voting but some of the shit you hearing at the booths... it's a worry. I'm not talking about a well informed voter who votes differently to me, I mean the ones that have nfi and one headline is enough to to make up or change their mind.

Apparently it's a news story from today. There isn't much detail but there was an article on news.com.au which showed two people getting texts. Malcolm's speech just said it was 1000s but now it's after July 1 there's no ABC fact check to check it.
