Or Doedee replaces Thommo

Surely he'll spend a couple of years in defence before transitioning to the midfield. Thommo will be gone a good year or two before Doedee has a run through the midfield. Let's not forget that he didn't have a preseason to speak of this year.

Yep, it's a ridiculous suggestion. After playing defence all year and Wigg midfield all year, we are now going to replace Thommo with Doedee.

Wigg looked good yesterday and has to get games next year or we should just trade him. It will be his 3rd year on the list and he's ready.

Oh and I don't know what we ever saw in Gore. He just doesn't look afl worthy.

South Aussie kid who muddied the waters nicely. Some on this board had him in their best 22 predictions. Having said that, he looked ok at times during the preseason games, so not writing him off completely yet.

Chances of one of the top ups being rookied?

I didn't make it, but let me know next time, we'll catch up and have a beer at the inaugural 'WW and Vader are always right fan club' meeting ;)

And I'd love those changes; Wigg in the mix as well as an in, but two of those three in for Dmack and Douglas would improve us as a side, I have no doubt.

Wellington pre Weagles match. I'm calling it the cool kids catch up. I was really keen to head to a SANFL match, but it's either Noarlunga or Berri for me. Was really hoping for Prospect, Norwood or Unley. Still think I'll go to Noarlunga though.

His footy seems to have gone backwards since last year, has played okay at times this year, but never looked close to a game, where the feeling was the only thing that stopped him getting games last year was injury. Would want to have a pretty good preseason this year, otherwise he won't last long.

Geelong's VFL side wasn't exactly on the pace. Injury ravaged was a description that I read. I do find him a bit interesting, had a couple of outstanding attributes at draft camp, but went in the 50's. Attitude and work ethic is apparently first class, so recruiters obviously though something was lacking.

He kicked two nice goals in the last quarter yesterday (I only saw that quarter).

I don't watch the Hawks very often, so I'm struggling to picture how he plays but I'll take your word for it.

He is a great tackler and neat kick for goal. Seems to struggle finding the ball when Wigg and Grigg in the center

Yeah, my responce wa about Ben Stratton. Not Dean Gore. Seen Gore play 12 to 15 times.

I think he (Gore) will improve again over the pre season and could push fior 3 to 6 AFL games.

Oh.. i think you're spot on with that assessment

Don't know about that believe his core strength, and aerobic run will determine when and if he play midfield, ie if he added a few kilos and runs top 4-5 in the trail and distance runs. They will look at alternate positions for him.
I see him as starting as a run with on players like Fyfe and Bount. then an early Sloane type role.

Doubtful that he'll start his AFL career in a run with role.

Haha, yea, I'd forgotten about that.

Was meant to overtake Lyons the moment he moved back to Adelaide, wasn't he?

Riley knight could well be the ace in the pack come finals time. Replacing mackay in the 22 is well within his reach if he can play 2 more good games in the sanfl. His game vs dogs last year was immense. Big game player.

Spot on mate - and I hope to Christ they're viewing him as such.

I'd consider bringing him straight in (provided his running measures are up to it) for the Port game, but definitely for the West Coast game.

Actually, I'd bring him in for Port.

If he's been running his arse off, we know he's up to it, give him two games to settle back in.

We can always bring Mackay back in - he's not very good, but he's relatively consistent, so we'll know what we're getting.

Wigg very unlikely to debut this year, but features in planning for next year.

I'm with you though - no more Brodie Martins or Ricky Hendersons; play them or trade them.
