What are you talking about? I didn't say I'd give up anything for him?
Yep sorry wrong person
I take it that was supposed to be a response to my post? If so, I know that and I know it's nowhere near enough to get him, but the question was what would I be happy with my club giving up and that's about it. OK, throw in a 3rd rounder as well. We already gave up a 2nd rounder for someone who may never play AFL footy last year (Freeman) so I'd be very loathe for us to be taking what would be a huge gamble on JOM, who may be the next Jesse Smith or Scott Gumbleton and have his career ruined by injury.
Yeah fair enough. Completely forgot about Freeman.

I think the Blues would be silly to trade for O'Meara. He'd most likely cost them a first and second round pick (yes that's overs but GC will push a hard bargain) and if he doesn't come good that's a huge hole in their rebuild.

I would have thought that is already up the would be a better suit. What do Hawthorn have to lose? If it comes off it could mean they remain a good side for a bit longer, if it doesn't well they just start a rebuild a year later than normal. They also have a few guys they could throw in that they probab wouldn't miss all that much.
What makes you think GC would be pushing for draft picks? Seems to me they wouldn't be too interested in draft picks and would be pushing for established mids

By who though?

I did hear we were very keen to see how he went in the second half of the year, but I would hope that any interest has gone cold now.
The likes of Brett Anderson have been saying for a good 12 months now that we've been heavily into JOM. Haven't heard anything of late tho.

I reckon he will end up at Collingwood.
Could de goey be part of the deal?
The real problem is a player needs to agree to go to gc.

In that statement where Cochrane completely shit the bed he did say that they wanted established players.

The problem then becomes who the hell wants to go to the gold Coast?

Suns should offer the kid a one year deal at a million if they're confident they can get him up and going again, if he gets back to his best and stays on the park he'd command the equivelent of 2 top 10 picks, one being top 5 IMO, if he leaves this year they' struggle to get half that.

Tony Cocharne apparently mentioned tonight that he knows the club O'Meara wants to go to......Gold Coast saying they want experienced quality players.

The same week as Hodge etc take pay cuts.

Hawks give up a couple Premiership players (they want mids) and the deal gets done. Maybe Hartung, first round draft pick and say Isaac Smith.

Yeah sure, for a kid who hasn't played for 2 years

Would genuinely laugh if the media released it over the weekend
