Could this EGM really have any influence on this upcoming offseason? (coaches, drafting, player movement) Or will it be too late?

Today at 10.20 (kidding it's 11am) a new group will announce it's ticket for a new board. They will first ask the board to step down, if not they will force an EGM where all positions will be up for grabs. Included in the group are 2 former Premiership players.

KB was intimating at this last week, thought they were interesting comments and he must know something. Yes it's happening, I'm curious to know who's involved

As tempting as it may be to overhaul the entire board given our on-field performance, if people really want Richmond to go to a positive direction as a club, they need to carefully analyse what is being proposed by the challengers and vote accordingly.

Remember, Richmond may be a disaster on the field, but are a stable side off the field. If you elect the wrong people, the club may not only continue to go backwards on the field, but go backwards off the field too.

Change may be what the club may need to become better, but that depends on who is stepping in. Just a caution to those who are willing to vote blindly just to get some change.

You members will finally have a chance hopefully to elect a board.

Not have one put together of geriatric lawyers so out of touch with the game it's beyond belief.

Keep an open mind and wait till you hear from these guys on what they want and how they will achieve it. Also the split of professions on there.

It's a more modern thinking group who want us to return to what we are built for, focussing on football and winning.

I'm confident that this group can lead the club to much better times.
Just hope the media keep an open mind and don't muddy the waters with all this rubbish about what a good job the current board is doing. Already heard Nathan Brown and Jon Ralph talking up the current board.
I'm hoping this alternative board presents a strong and viable President, it always comes down to leadership and Peggy ain't providing it at the moment

With uncertainty, potential players, officials and assistant coaches are going to be less inclined to want to come to the club.

Saying you just want to win more games as a key part of your platform, anyone can say that. It is cheap and meaningless talk.

...like all those high profile players over the past 7 years that have been banging on our door wanting to be part of the stability at Punt Rd?

..this challenge is more about a change of coach ... so I hope the challengers get the imprimatur to do exactly that...then we will see high profile players and coaches wanting to be part of the new tigers

Brilliant. Good timing. Nothing players like more than coming to a club that is in turmoil. When would the EGM be? Can't they just contest an election like everybody else?

It's great timing.

To finally have people running the club who want success on field for this football club will be a shock to the system.

All this is coming about because the club hasn't got the balls to remove Dimma.

He is the main problem at the club and Peggy and Brendan Gale are too worried about the bottom dollar to sack his arse.
It was a **** up extending him to another 2 years but they need admit they ****ed up and move him on. We will lose more money
than his payout figure if we keep him for any longer.

Will see at 11am but hopefully the main concern from these potential new board members speak strongly in regards to a new head coach and new recruiting
members at our club. Serisouly our record stands for itself we are back to where we started when Dimma came to our club and our draft picks from 2010 to 2014 is a disaster. All this and all their jobs are still safe.

I really believe Wallace would make a great board member and has done a great job putting it all out there. However keeping things as is will do no good for anybody, interesting times ahead, change is needed

Like this Wallace bloke and reckon he'd add value but, have zero confidence in the current board and he made a rod for his own back by declaring he wanted to be part of the current board, whilst throwing his support behind the current useless coach, therefor making his attempt to get on the board to me become void. Would just become a yes man to more influencial long time board members.

Current board or future board, if they are not getting rid of Hardwick they don't have our best interests in mind.

You need to be very cautious in situations like this as boards are full of corruption and people always looking to suit their own agenda. Unless you are a passionate supporter, e.g. Simon Wallace, I don't trust your intentions as a board member.

I've never got off my lard a@!# and voted at an egm, agm, whatever...but I have to say I'll be listening to what this group puts forward very closely...I've been eco since before we had eco...my misgivings started with that 2013 elim...and I see nothing from the current leadership to inspire any confidence that things will improve before the few elite players we have will be gone or too old.
Good point about power and corruption...but at another point you get sick of apathy and mediocrity too.

About time. List needs a complete rebuild and the fact we're going after Prestia and only sacking the assistants tells me the club either has its head in the sand or is trying to cover a very poor decision to extend Hardwick.

It's time the club invests in the football department. I understand they have the preliminary E&Y report back. They're not sharing it so if transparency and investment in football is the tickets strategy then I'm all for it.

would be embarrassing if this group do not put out something as comprehensive as that wallace bloke- but to be honest i am only expecting a flowery and emotive presser relying on names and cv's/
