Couldn't agree more (although I am not sure it's being out of touch, as much as being out of his depth). Who would toss in a high paying job if someone throws it at you. It's not dimma's fault. That said I can't wait to see the back of him...for the clubs sake.

All this is coming about because the club hasn't got the balls to remove Dimma.

He is the main problem at the club and Peggy and Brendan Gale are too worried about the bottom dollar to sack his arse.
It was a **** up extending him to another 2 years but they need admit they stuffed up and move him on. We will lose more money
than his payout figure if we keep him for any longer.

Will see at 11am but hopefully the main concern from these potential new board members speak strongly in regards to a new head coach and new recruiting
members at our club. Serisouly our record stands for itself we are back to where we started when Dimma came to our club and our draft picks from 2010 to 2014 is a disaster. All this and all their jobs are still safe.

It is not just DH. It has come about because of the many problems within the whole f/d a lot of which goes back beyond Hardwicks tenure.
Those problems have consistently been ignored or they just dont see them, either way this was always going to come to a point where most people would eventually see what we were dismally failing in.

It is sad watching my fellow supporters. So fearful of change because all they have ever known is regimes who have run the club horribly. When A REGIME comes along and does what should be done and expected at least financially CHANGE BECOMES ANATHEMA.
We need to be better much better but the fear of the past means most wallow in the fear of falling back so they are content with what they have .

It is simple if this current board has put the right processes in place off field then there should be no problem in the future regardless of who comes in as long as they are competent.
Get over your fears people stop looking back it is time for all of us to demand we move FORWARD.We have a base at last from which we should be demanding excellence right across the whole spectrum of the club.

Well she reported on FC last week that the board has the review report from EY. Obviously it's not a great read if you're a board member.

Easy... New board comes in, spends money left right and centre trying to "fix" everything they can (perhaps by sacking DH and paying out his contract). Borrow money, put the club back in debt and then 5~10 years down the track the club is paying far too much interest to the banks and they're asking supporters to dig deep again.

Many things this board can hang it's hat on is great facilities (massive upgrade on what we had prior), improved branding, stable corporate sponsorship, returned the Richmond VFL side, income from the VFL side playing home games at Punt Rd, and are debt free.

Where this board has lacked is making the on field crew of playing list, coaching staff, development staff and recruiting staff accountable.

I'll wait and see what they bring to the table.

One thing that does make me chuckle is when people say we need young blood on the board, fresh ideas etc... and then the headline is "two former Richmond premiership players are on the ticket"... Last premiership was 36 years ago! Not much young blood in there lol

If you don't normally vote now is the time cos the club needs a change cos we're sinking in mediocrity thru stability with Peggy & her current Board who are more interested in being social justice warriors than winning games, finals and premierships. The club has lost it's way.

There's no point in being stable when you're mediocre.

Bruce Monteith is a very successful business man he knows what to do with finances and won't sink the club.

It's these load of clueless lawyers on our board that have been preaching their Stability thru Mediocrity mantra that has ruined the club.

Now we have half a list and only half a chance at being any good because all our guns only have a few years left and can't wait for draftees to develop into stars.

I just want a board who back us becoming a top side again without taking shortcuts.
