I agree.

Mundine's statement seemed headline grabbing. But if he feels the need to boycott, that's up to him but to jump on the bandwagon of the #blacklivesmatter campaign against police shootings in the US seems to be insensitive and bandwagon-ish.
Mundine promoting Good vs Bad for the Green fight. Aussie Don King.

Ever since Nick Stevens I can't recall a player not ending up at a club he nominates.

I would bet the AFL and clubs have some sort of gentleman's agreement to ensure that does not happen again. In fear of players striking and/or wanting more money.

Actually I think in fear of players going outside the AFL walls and sueing for restraint of trade

AFL is its own little extra-legal fiefdom where everyone agrees to play by its rules and not invoke the laws and courts of the wider world beyond. Every now and then someone threatens to do so and thereby gets to stretch the boundaries a little

With the WADA Essendon saga the AFL learnt what it means when outside legal bodies get involved. They don't want that to happen too often

Yeah there could be that.

But their Union is a strong one. Right now it is holding up the salary agreement.

Can't wait for the AFL "draw" to come out for next season. WB surely can't get 9 home games in a row again and Geelong shouldn't get the benefit of double up games against the bottom teams again. And will be interesting to see if the Bulldogs Essendon or Carlton(6 years?) play us Here for the first time in ages.

We already played them here in 2016 ...

Oops, scratch that but Carlton has been ridiculous
Last 4 matches against Bulldogs plus one final have been in Melbourne. It sucks. What irks me more is Collingwood, Essendon, Carlton never having to play at Geelong. Richmond haven't played there in the last 4 years. One of the toughest gigs when Geelong have been a very good team over the last10 years, and these pampered clubs get an even playing field while all other teams get the tough gig.

I'm hoping we are seeing the Buddy curse. Made a big song and dance about leaving Hawthorn to win more flags at Sydney and is 0-2 in getting them over the line.
