You lot dont qualify as opposition. The name opposition implies that we oppose you - we clearly dont - you dont win premierships and we approve of this - not oppose it.

Long may it continue.

Ah, **** it.

"Aggressive" is code for trading our picks and prioritising short-term gains.

Don't wanna get all ep on y'all but I'm kind of anticipating another decade of mediocrity here.

We are starting to smell a bit Norf-like

Edit: just realised that was a three-week old tweet. Still, it's late and I needed my melt for the night

Maybe we have been "aggressive" but if the other parties are not open to our advances then not a lot we can do about it.

West Coast will approach the trade period and pre-season draft with an “aggressive” mindset as it seeks to compile a better squad for season 2017, according to Adam Simpson.

Who will be the good players available at pre-season draft? Del Santo?

Couldn't honestly care any less about your opinion.

Our club doesn't appear to very innovative. They know they have this travel problem but don't do anything about it. They could buy/lease/build their own special facilities at the places they frequently travel to.

I would think that this would be the best option and then flying 25-27 players and the coaches to the facility of the next away game directly after the previous home game to minimise the impact of flying. Spend the week training in that state and then fly home directly after the game as per normal. Obviously the cost of setting up these sort of facilities everywhere would be quite expensive but if they were to create affiliates with clubs in the state codes and share their facilities, in exchange for cash for some upgrades and community involvement it could be feasible and possibly generate more interstate interest/memberships.

What exactly does aggressive mean.we stand over them and make demands?send them a strongly worded email?threaten their loved ones?

People who really dont care about peoples opinion just ignore them. They dont quote them. They just move on.

You, instead, sashayed up in the middle of this party and flounced around turning your back on me like a big ol drama queen.

Im picturing Devine.

We make out like bandits with that trade though - Picks 21, 22, 24 & 27 (3211 points) for Pick 12 (1268) and a 2017 pick likely (in my opinion) around the same value. We'd have to finish 14th next year, giving them Pick 5, for that to be equal.

However if we throw in our Pick 30 (629 points) it would be more reasonable - that would be balanced by Pick 12 next year, which is about right in terms of our expected finish IMO.

We only make out like bandits because somehow everyone has it in their heads now that the value of draft picks is determined by a very faulty numerical value they apply to each draft pick. The points system is an exceptionally flawed puddle of sloppy shit. Next year i have us finishing between 8-14th. With gold coast highly likely to acquire extra draft picks higher up than their 4 second rounders first rounders and future first rounders have much greater value to them. Gold coast if they were to do that trade with us would likely go into this years draft with pick 4,6,8,12 and 14 as well as having our first rounder next year. How many players do you expect them to be turning over? What value do they have in 4 second rounders if 2 or 3 of them aren't used at all.

Well not everyone, just me at the moment. "Everyone" (who else are you talking about?) is currently preoccupied with Petrie, Darling jokes and a rogue Freo poster.

You make a very good point about GC's predicted abundance of first round picks this year. This certainly means any sensible clubs will be currently trying to get at those 2nd rounders - I really like idea of nabbing some for a future pick.

I was just trying to use the point system as one way to determine a fair deal that might outbid other clubs' offers, if any. Why do you think the point system is so bad?
