A woman tripped over about five metres ahead of me just before, on the walk from work to the train station. It was nothing too serious, she grazed her knee lightly but that's it, but what shat me is that everyone else between me and her (probably ten people at least; it's peak hour afterall) didn't even bother to stop and check if she was okay, and in fact some performed some pretty cute footwork to avoid her much how you might with an inanimate object blocking the footpath.

Is it really that hard to stop and ask someone if they're okay?

Being back at work after a few days away pretty much partying and chilling out on the company time/dollar. Not only has the work built up because my boss and I were both there but am dealing with a 3 day come down.

Also, how I managed to lose my wallet "overseas" considering I didn't spend a single cent the entire time is one of lifes real unanswered questions.

Women's cricket I could see sticking around and gaining a bit of popularity, because at the end of the day, t20 is about wickets and boundaries, and those are going to look good no matter how fast the bowlers are sending them down.

The footy comp though? Maybe it's just me, but from what I've seen, footy is a lot harsher on the eyes when played at a lower standard, so unless the girls all grow 4 inches, get stronger, faster and add 20m to their kicking distance, the quality and entertainment value of it will never surpass your standard local ammos comp. Not sure that really deserves much more attention than say, the WNBL (which should probably get a lot of the attention that netball and now cricket and footy get, seeing as though we've been the second best women's basketball nation in the world for about 20 years. But that's an argument for another time).

Mate it wouldn't be the standard of 14s boys.

Bigpond went down on me for a few hours on the first day of semester one year, all my stock control, tills, the whole lot rendered useless. If you planned for a worst case scenario, this was it.

The internet at home went down the weekend before last when I was planning to write reports all weekend. I rang up Telstra and gave them the whole spiel about being a teacher and needing to write reports. They ended up giving me this month free. To their credit, as annoying as they can be Telstra usually takes complaints seriously and take steps to rectify the situation.

Have found the same. When I was on a different plan I would sometimes use up all my data (maybe once or twice a year). I would ring them and they usually would just add on a bit to tide me over to the end of the month at no extra cost (a few days only usually). I used the argument that there were other months when I didn't even use half of it.

Yeah all good. The young bloke was changing lanes and didn't look. The front passenger side of his car hit the back drivers side of mine. Barely any damage on mine other than a couple of small scratches, and his had a little damage to the front bumper but that was about it. Swapped details, but not even sure he'll go through insurance.

Happened to me once, getting off the bus home from Uni. They were doing some building work in the area so there was lots of uneven bits on the footpath. Got off the bus, walked three or four metres and tripped. No damage done but most of the other people getting off the bus just walked past me, then finally a girl stopped and asked if I was OK.

I went out for dinner at Fed Square on Monday night and while I was waiting for my friend to arrive I read this post. There was a man lying face down on Fed Square by himself and I thought "oh **** what if he's dead and no one helps him?!" So I approached him and said, "excuse me sir, are you okay? Would you like some water?" and he told me to **** OFF AND MIND MY OWN BUSINESS lol thanks a lot Doss
