Sat with him and his dad in a corporate box in 2015 (WCE v Tiggers @ MCG). Was a big decision for him to leave WA as his dad has been very ill. He considered he wasn't getting the opportunities in WA and would have a better chance putting his name up over east ala Katich, MacGill, Rogers etc..

I can only speak on my own situation but my sister, who grew up with multiple mad football fans for brothers and somehow ended up with absolutely no interest in it, asked if I would take her to one of the AFLW games that Fremantle are playing. And if we could watch one of the other AFLW games together first so she can get a better idea of the game.

Difference is that the NBA struggles for exposure in its own right so it isn't going to have much impact promoting the women's league as well

The women's football league has arguably the most powerful administration in Australian sport pushing it along with a small army of feminists

It will do just fine depending on the opinion of what's considered successful - it isn't ever going to get prime time FTA spots outside of finals or one off exhibition games like they had in the pre finals bye week
