Sanders too old
Booker too corporatist
M Obama won't run
Biden too old
Cuomo too corporatist and done things that don't endear him to the base (could change if leads opposition to Trump)

Personally I think defeating Isis is a matter of wanting to, and there is a pretty strong argument for this....for example large convoys of Isis fighters were able to travel hundreds of km across open desert for the latest recapture of palmyra.
But they can defeat china with air power only ? What if China survives the initial onslaught and takes over a few smaller nations, say South Korea and Phillipines, who has really won, the only way to recover those countries would be a ground war.

If we are talking about opening the sea lanes in the South China Sea, the US could do this by force, if you talk about having an objective to stop China if they take over smaller nations, well then you're in a nuclear stand off.

How they **** do you defeat ISIS, what does victory look like? It's the same issue the Russians and US have had in Afghanistan, France and the US in Vietnam, and a thousand other examples.
