To be honest Zmoney I think Scott is better than the wrap he gets on here. Sure he has his weaknesses, which you allude to in your post but in reality he took what was a 7-8 out of 10 list to two prelims. I have mentioned in another post somewhere that ultimately he should transition to a Director of Football role because i think he will be better suited to more overarching responsibility but who knows, perhaps some of these kids that are and will be getting games will come on strong over the next two seasons and enable us to push deep again. From there it can be a lottery.

To be honest Zmoney I think Scott is better than the wrap he gets on here. Sure he has his weaknesses, which you allude to in your post but in reality he took what was a 7-8 out of 10 list to two prelims. I would really love to see what someone like Clarkson would do with our team line up. He has a knack for moving guys around and experimenting and I just feel our Midfield would be so different under a new coach.

Thommo and Hansen were poo for the most part but yeah, EVW and Durdin would not have fared much better and that kind of intro could be somewhat detrimental to them first up. I understand the logic in their non selection. Play youngsters up the ground expecting at times poor defensive transition so play seasoned defenders in the hope they hold out. Didn't work.

But yeah, as I mentioned previously, the way the mids and forwards defended today we were never going to win regardless of who was back there. Add into the mix horrible turn overs and poor kicking for goal and we were on a hiding to nothing.
