Workcover are a pain in the arse. Ten years ago I tried to look into getting them pay for ongoing medical costs I have on my hand that I mashed in 1993, and which I still have issues, but it was so impenetrable, deliberately so I guess, that I gave up trying.

i certainly get the impression that my information is just being sold to some marketing agency, and that no recruiter is actually looking at my application.

I think it's quite well known this sort of stuff happens. I was fortunate enough for my last 2 positions that someone got in touch with me via referrals. You rarely hear any good stories of people using recruiting agencies.

Nah. Turns out it wasn't a customer loyalty card. It was actually a gift card so she paid for it herself.
