Are Richmond the next Bulldogs?

I think it's important to also remember that the Dogs looked pretty good earlier in the year before injuries hit. I dare say if their injury toll wasn't as great as it was they wouldn't have finished 7th and it wouldn't have been this enormous fairy tale story.

Richmond don't really have any significant injuries, they may very well be the Bulldogs of 2015, but unfortunately that's another elimination final loss.

Pretty unlikely that the 'next Bulldogs' are going to pop up the immediately preceding year.
Sort of rebuffs the annals when we are so willing to toy with the recherché and exemplify the unexampled.
I don't know what the second line means, but I agree it's hard to imagine anyone else doing a 'Bulldogs' anytime, let alone the very next year. It was an amazing finals series from them to say the least.

Of late we're playing 10 kids under 50 games so I'd say the age balance isn't quite in the sweet spot; I'd settle for winning a final.

Thread is an insult to Richmond. I don't think anyone wants to be the next Bulldogs aka worst premiership team in history.

Ignoring the fact, you haven't quantified in any way how the Bulldogs are the worst premiership team in history and it's a stupid concept anyway, being the worst premiership team in history still smashes being the best runner up in history.

Ask anyone at Richmond and they'd sell their souls to be reigning premier.

Ps - 2016 Bulldogs would smash the semi pro athletes of Richmond's last premiership era

So would 2016 Brisbane. o.O

I am convinced if a Vic team can get to the G and play any of Adelaide, GWS or West Coast, they would likely win it.

An Adelaide/GWS 1 & 2 finish at seasons end would likely guarantee both a GF berth.
Both would be tough to beat on home decks with full squads.
Scary to think GWS could add Coniglio, Smith, Lobb, SJ, Deledio, Haynes & Hopper to the team that played on the weekend.

Still think the Dees are going to be the best chance of a drought breaker.
In touch and will welcome 2 of their best back soon in Gawn and Hogan.

i really like this thread.. Rich have changed their game style totally this year.
Obviously they have 3 or 4 small forwards who are lightning quick and apply
full on forward pressure, it has worked great for us so far, we will definitely
play finals this year, as long as we dont get injuries should go deep in september..

Richmond supporters who haven't tasted success for 37 years giving Premiership teams shit. Amazing.

Players like Vlastuin and Conca aren't big losses if that's what you're referring to. Your top 5 (Martin Riewoldt Cotchin Rance Nank) are all in really good form and haven't missed a game. Like I said earlier don't think Richmond are crap and I think they'll sneak into the 8 come end of year but if any of those guys I just mentioned go down for an extended period you'd be in BIG trouble.

I love these sort of comments.

"If one of your top five go down it's really going to hurt you"

Tell me a side in the comp this doesn't apply to outside of maybe GWS.

u need to have a look at the ladder

Another great positive thread that shows your love for the game Perthboy.
Richmond certainly are looking very good this season,if they finish top four they're a chance for the flag.
If they do make the GF and get to play a non Vic side the home ground advantage for them at the G will be enormous which will also help.

Dont care about comparisons, Richmond are a massive club that have been down for a while now, if my team are out of contention I will be cheering them on.
your a legend, im still stoked the dogs won it last year, be sad if GWS win it..
