Its not just the shit kicking;its no right foot, lack of tackling, and running into totally inappropriate positions to receive.STATS LIE!!You don't lose your kicking ability, he has never been a damaging kick.
The interesting thing is the board have actually had quite a lot of turnover over the years - it's actually pretty dynamic. The problem is they run it like the business people they are.
That being said, I actually find it quite staggering that a board that proactively turns itself over has allowed the management to remain so stagnant. And that's no comment on the influence of those people on on-field performance (although I think Gepp should be a million miles from the coaching box) - it's just an observation.
Unless he instructed them to stop trying to win contested ball in the fourth quarter I don't see why the players shouldn't wear the blame.

Reading this board these days has got to be more infuriating than when West Coast lose, especially this week.
Simmo is not the problem here. Yes maybe he could be "inspiring the players more" or "injecting some hardness into the team" (whatever that all means) but he is not the reason we lost that game.
If anything what he is implementing is getting us into a position to win and at times we look a million bucks but then the players go full Fremantle potato and lay down.
As it's been said earlier by I believe HoneyBadger35, Simmo did not miss that sitter like Yeo did, Simmo did not decide to play on whilst being in tackling distance of a Collingwood like Duggan did, Simmo did not forget to lay a shepherd for Barrass on the last line of defence like Hurn did etc etc etc. These are not coaching errors and for those of you who like to complain about anything and everything the club does and had a problem with Hurn saying that "it was the players not the coach" then uppercut yourself then delete your account.
Agreed, I notice the only "football" person on the board is Nesbitt. A couple of further observations, most of the Clubs don't seem to have the CEO as a part of the Board & most have at least one "football" person (ex player) or someone who has been involved in elite level sport. It seems odd that we don't, as you say, being run like a business.
He has implemented systems and a game plan that would be winning games of football if not for the failings of players and poor individual efforts. So he gets the kudos for getting us into winning positions but not the blame when we roll over and lose?
You can't have it both ways.
Think about what you are actually saying here.
eeepI heard (not sure if true) that Nisbett was offered the job to take over 2IC at AFL level but knocked it back as wanted to stay with the Eagles as the Eagles were on the rise at the time.

Who do you think out new coach should be and when? The coach is not only responsible for the game plans and the systems but also the man management of plate s because players play football not robots.
Any failures by the players are the coaches responsibility ultimately.
One off incidents or brain fades happen but consistent fade outs and coughing up games we were in prime positions to win are the direct responsibility of the coach.
Whether you like it or not if it continues to happen Simpson will be sacked.
He either removes the players responsible or he is removed.
It's that cut a dried no matter how many posts you post to the contrary.
Hurn was in our best yesterday and won the Glendinning Medal the previous week. Gaff's been in good form and had one down week when he didn't battle through a tag. If he wants to make a statement at selection there's better options.

Not sure I agree with everything written, but makes some good points
Can't just call out the players. It's a collective. The real test of gameplans and whatnot is when the game is on the line in the 4th, and everything is turned up a notch. Particularly as this failure has been a pattern. He has implemented systems and a game plan that would be winning games of football if not for the failings of players and poor individual efforts.
On form and based on the treatment lecras and Cripps got MK should have been a straight inWho were these young guys who were dropped?
Cole hadn't trained due to an ankle injury, the others who went out were Butler (inj) Masten and Redden.

Clear double standards for young players
That's the problem. Like our midfield depth there's just not enough better coaches to choose fromWho do you think out new coach should be and when?

I'm not the sort of person who espouses to this view.
Waiting for the perfect candidate is like waiting for the perfect wife. You will die alone if you do.
Alright. I respect that. In my books he should be dropped based on performance.Agree to disagree, mate.
He hasn't been at 2015 AA levels but he hasn't been close to being dropped either.
Making a change for the sake of making a change isn't always the answer. Look at Brisbane axing Voss, Gold Coast axing McKenna. The coaches they got to replace them weren't any better and they've languished ever since.m
Sometimes you're better off trying to make it work with the one you're with rather than throwing yourself back in the dating pool.
