Pretty hilarious how Rucci has tried to spun Justin Westhoff's re-signing to try and create a perception that Westoff had other teams beating down his door, but had turned down the free agency path in order to stay at Port.

PORT Adelaide swingman Justin Westhoff is off the AFL free agent list with a new deal at Alberton for next season.

“I love the club and had no interest in exploring free-agency,” said Westhoff, a 221-game player with Port Adelaide. This is my home and I’m very happy here."

Did anyone read his article in Saturday’s paper? He was comparing teams to countries and compared Port to Portugal.

He wouldn’t compare Adelaide to a country (and I am sorry I can’t remember the exact wording) because we are so touchy (referring to the West Adelaide controversy) and then added that there were lots of rogue missiles around.

I can only conclude that he was comparing Adelaide to North Korea.

As a Portuguese person I can't remember ever being this insulted in my life.

I assume the comparison was: Port is Portugal. A country crippled by massive debts, negative growth and high unemployment, but always referring to former glories to convince itself that it's actually relevant.

But we don't give a rat's tossbag about INXS.

Does Portugal play irrelevant friendlies in china?

I genuinely like Michaelangelo and enjoy listening to him on the radio and i've met him a couple of times when I've run into him (I work close to the Advertiser building) and he couldn't be nicer but bloody hell.....I saw him last Thursday around noon crossing the road with Andrew Capel (they were heading to the Cibo across the road from the 'Tiser) and Rooch had on these baggy jeans which were almost halfway down his arse and his tracksuit jacket with his hair all messy. Between Rucci and pretty much their entire Daily Telegraph team, News Corp really do have the lowest of the low for journalists.

Paying members have every right to be getting frustrated watching young gun after young gun walk away. How are we as a club supposed to push for a premiership when we can't keep the damn team together?

We've had to sit through lost draft picks and the loss of player after player and watch them tear it up at another club. Something must change because if Lever and McGovern walk you can bet there will be fans ready to literally burn the clubhouse down.
