I haven't been impressed by Lade whatsoever. His work with the forward line speaks for itself and I find his whole demeanour to be way too casual. I can see why Richmond gave him the flick.

I just went to check Basset's record as Norwood coach.

68W/23L= 75% winning ratio. 3 GFs and a prelim for two flags in 4 years. Pretty impressive.

I did too. Finished the minor rounds with >60% but that may have more to do with restricting the opposition.

Also played for Fitzroy (like Kern) and Brisbane before that. Been around forever as an assistant - was caretaker coach at Carlton when they sacked Malthouse mid-year. Had plenty of time to impress there.
