I'd consider any player if they gave us any first rounder, but we need to stop dreaming of such deals.
No club gives up a player and a draft pick.
Do you guys want Paparone and/or Bewick?
Lions don't really want anything back....just them off the list...
Why you hate them so much , just delist them.Do you guys want Paparone and/or Bewick?

If a Griffin Logue was pick 6 would you pay $1.5m for him? It's very common in America sports, salary dumps are very common place especially in NBA.
It has even started to creep into NFL in the past 12 months.
Mayne + 6 for 4th rounder is certainly not inconceivable.
We would have to pay full salary for it to work.
In essence we would be paying 1.5 mill for pick 6. I'd not be unhappy if we done it, would show a clear direction.
Unfortunately our club & generally the AFL are still a way away from this being something to consider.
Papparone is another nice guy who I'd like to see succeed but he's no good. He isn't a very natural footballer. He doesn't know where or how to run and as a forward he struggles to know when to peel off his man or when to hit a contest; usually makes the wrong choice or does neither and ball watches. I guess that's why he got some games in the backline. For a big boy he isn't physical at all which is probably a result of him being a pretty gentle human. His kicking action is maybe the most annoying thing to watch as well – just looks bad but every single time you just wonder why he wasn't smothered.

I agree with you. You also strengthen your case with what you say. If Collingwood needed to free up cap space by offloading Mayne and pick 6 for some token later Freo picks they'd be robbing Peter to pay Paul, or otherwise giving up important pawns in the chess set. That is they would have nothing left to trade for Josh Kelly and the AFL brought in that rule about using two first round pick in a four year period so they would cause potential issues for future years and haven't they give up a few 1st rounders in recent years for the likes of Treloar and Adams.I get the idea.
Collingwood wouldn't compound their initial error by then doing this.
UNLESS there was 100% a likely player who they could get like a Josh Kelly and they HAD to make room.
Just because they didn't like what Mayne has brought won't result in the proposed idea taking place. Not in 1 million years.
Although $500k a year sounds like a lot, it really isn't and again just wouldn't happen.
Would I pay $1.5million for pick 6? Absolutely. Firstly you do get the player in Mayne so even at base price of say 100k a year to play at Peel you're effectively paying $1.2 million on someone who could be worth multiples on that initial investment.
Again why Collingwood wouldn't even consider it.
Just don't play Mayne, and take that pick.So Gubby Allen signed Mayne without Bucks okay, allegedly. Wasn't it Gubby Allen that would not trade Cam Mac to us and made him sit out a year? Sweet, sweet schadenfreude, plus as someone has already pointed out, this is revenge for Tarrant, schadenfreude squared. We won't be doing the Pies any favours, they are not very nice at the trade table. If they give us a sweetarse deal that is too good to turn down, then maybe, but I wouldn't be paying 100% of Mayne's wage. Maybe if they offered to pay 60% plus a second round pick or something, even then I just have flashbacks of the momentum that was killed by those missed goals.
More damn scraps. Give us some quality. These guys are delists.Do you guys want Paparone and/or Bewick?

What happened with Hallahan? Seemed promising.Bewick - no
Paparone - yes. Very late rounder or are they delist material?
But Paps is over 190cms. He is always going to be linked to Freo.More damn scraps. Give us some quality. These guys are delists.
How are these two going to improve our list? They wont. Nor will the likes of Boekhorst, heaven forbid we might as well keep Sheridan.
Haha, this gave me a chuckle.Let's get Rhys Palmer back as well........
Better than Taberner! This is Loersch's summary from his year in the NEAFL, he missed a few games through injury. He was being played almost purely as a fwd whereas we'd play him more in the ruck where he is naturally suited imo
2. NEAFL Kicked a goal but wasn’t able to have a great impact in attack. -
3 NEAFL Proved too big at strong in attack with seven marks and 3.3 against Redland. -
4 NEAFL Kicked two goals and provided a tall marking target in attack. Okay. -
6 NEAFL Best game so far this season with four goals. Tried to keep the Suns in the contest. -
7 NEAFL Booted a goal and had a few other opportunities, but didn’t have a massive outing. -
8 NEAFL Booted two goals and provided a bit of a marking target in attack. -
11 NEAFL Back after a week off and was too big for the Sharks defence. Booted four goals. -
15 NEAFL Too big and strong for Aspley defence. Booted seven goals and is in great touch. -
16 NEAFL Kicked a goal, but was unable to make the most of the Suns 47 entries. -
Kicked at least 1 goal in every game this year, and finished with 25 goals in 9 games. I know the NEAFL isn't great but still relatively good stats, would come over on a rookie contract too
With Eade as coach? He's probably one of the biggest flog coaches of the last 15-20 years. In a bad team over two years, surely one or two have them have had a lean fortnight and you give Loersch a go...
If a Griffin Logue was pick 6 would you pay $1.5m for him?
