Oh fun. Got to go all the way up to Noarlunga Hospital for it, and neither myself nor my husband drive (and the taxi will be way too expensive), so it'll be fun trying to navigate public transport to get back home will be interesting. On the upside, once it's over, I don't think I'll be giving a shit about much for a few days afterwards.
Wow, can I ask why neither of you drive?

I was still shitting until the op/procedure began, they almost had to cancel and reschedule me because of it. If your body is as sensitive to the stuff as mine was good luck with public transport.

I honestly cannot stress how horrific the bowel cleanse was for me. I was passing stomach lining asking by the end of it. Not everyone would have the same reaction I did, doctors said I may have been over prescribed for my size.

My husband used to have a license when he lived in Sydney. I don't know why he never renewed it when he moved to Adelaide and met me; but he seems to have a strong preference for public transport now.

I get migraines (and I have no idea when one might hit - as they're episodic rather than chronic). An opthamologist once told me that my eyes work well, but they don't work together, so my depth perception is stuffed. I can be an accidental leadfoot. I figure there are enough nuts out on the road already - why should I get out there and add to their number. :p

I didn't get my Ps til I was 21. My brother was 25. It's not that big of a deal, it was a pretty simple question.

Maybe not to you but once you start nearing 30 and beyond (27 for me) it becomes one to most people. A point of interest and inquiry.

Adelaide public transport, like the rest of Australia, is pretty shit. I would think not driving would be very limiting in the choice of where you can live and work, and hence an unusual thing to do by choice.

I definitely wouldn't be taking public transport, especially on the way there! Which bowel prep did they give you?

Reading back through the thread and there was some discussion on possums in the roof. Don't waste money on possum catchers folks, just get yourself a couple of packets of mothballs or napthalene flakes and scatter them around the roof cavity. Guaranteed to work and costs next to nothing.

2 Picoprep, and 1 Glycoprep.
