I remember going to a dog house and there was a 3 year old mutt, average looking, short legs, all tongue dribble and tail wagging, expectant. But noone wanted her. Very very sad.

We ended up choosing an animal with a bit more pedigree and that wasnt incontinent.

Facilities... one of the most overrated lures for most players.

They're going to be down the bottom of the ladder for a while, they were going after two players in the best form they've been in while playing for clubs currently in prelims and Grand Finals, and they're a smaller club. Really isn't that outrageous or noteworthy. Port Adelaide recruited Paddy Ryder and Charlie Dixon and have looked no better for it. Seriously why is it shocking? Or an indictment?

The only time they've been a 'destination' team was in the 70s and 80s when they recruited guys from WA and SA... as did every other VFL side... who cares? They've won flags without it.
